Nice BBQ restaurant. It is very unique that you can play games while having lunch or dinner here. The food was taste delicious considering the location in the north. Of course, not as delicious as the one in Texas. The price was okay. The meat was moist and good. The BBQ sauce is on the sweet side that I do not like. The portion of the food was huge. The food was good but..... their concept of service is an insult. So, as explained by the cashier/server, the food and drinks are ordered and paid for at the bar before you sit. This means that you ponder the menu while standing with your coat looking at everyone at their seats. The cashier stands there waiting for you to order which felt very rushed. This process, as explained by the cashier, is to prevent dine and dash which the servers would have to cover. The best part is that the cashier/server was also the newest staff member, or seemed that way due to their limited menu knowledge so they would leave and ask a coworker some of the questions we were posing. No one came to assist them or us. What is an ultra annoyance is that a tip is expected before the meal or service is provided. Even Subway provides service before asking for a tip or payment. Not Upstreet! They want your money while providing the least amount of service at $20-30+ a plate. That's bull$%^%. When we were finally seated, no one came to see us unless they dropped drinks or the food. I actually got my food before my spouse or son, by quite a few minutes, but I couldn't eat because the f%^^$ robot server didn't bring the cutlery. For real, they have a robot, rather than improving the experience it amplifies everything wrong with this place. When we finally got our food and cutlery it was good. During the meal, no one checked on us. No one explained the sauces at the table, no one comes to ask if we want another drink. Nothing. For the people the meal came to $100 +tip. When I paid I left a 20% tip. I wish i didn't. I don't blame the staff for the restaurant structure but i won't encourage it to continue. Be better Upstreet! Provide a better experience that compliments the food and you will be a winner. I had the brisket dinner with potato salad and corn bread. My spouse had the salmon while my son had the Caesar salad with chicken. It was all good.
Good meat and sides! Lots of great beer options too. Love the ribs. We always order half of a chicken with our meal, because it’s so juicy and delicious! Awesome fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings. Not a huge fan of the Mac & cheese, corn bread or slaw
Wow.. this food far exceeded my expectations. The portion sizes were generous and the flavours with mouth watering. The only thing I thought was a bit odd is that you wait in line to order. I’m not sure if this is always the case or maybe just because it was burger week. Overall it was a great experience, with delicious food, nice staff, large potions and reasonable prices. I will definitely be back!
If you're looking for a good southern style BBQ - you've found the place. They have a small menu but it's a good menu. The brisket is tender, the mac and cheese is cheesy and the house pickled vegetables are my favorite. The servers are attentive and quick.
My daughter and were driving in from Ontario as she is attending university and we wanted to something close by. So we saw this was down the road so we decided to try. Not only is it a brewery but a restaurant. Well this was definitely different. You walk in and there is no hostess so like some other restaurants these days it’s like cafeteria style. So you approach the bar to order and you see menu boards to glance while you wait and on the one side are photos of sone of the dishes you can order. Once you place your order you are told where to sit based on the number in your party. Then someone brings out your food. My daughter ordered the Brewhouse Burger. It was huge. She’s a dainty person but she smashed that burger. It was great she said. I had a 2/3 rack of ribs and my sides were fries and mac’n cheese extra $1 but so good. Ribs were sheared with that smoky bbq flavour. Crispy outside and tender inside. Very tasty. The Mac ‘n cheese was cheesy good. Definitely not your KD style at all. We both felt the fries were crispy and tasty. I didn’t get to sample any beers but they had a nice variety for sale in cans as well as on tap. I wanted to take some to go but I’m on a mission here so next time. It won’t be my last visit to this place.
We celebrated a birthday and they allowed us to bring in his fav dessert after our meal. We ordered the Butcher Block meal and it did not disappoint. The meat was tender, fresh and seasoned to perfection. The smoke flavor was rich and delicious. We highly recommend this place with fabulous drinks!Food: 5/5
My wife took me for my 51st birthday dinner. We had a platter that was absolutely delicious! The only thing I did not like was the cornbread. It was like a greasy sponge with grit - bleh. I will be back to try other items that looked really good! Plus, I will recommend to my friends and family. Truly a delicious platter for two!
Food quality is truly authentic BBQ. Ribs were excellent. We ordered a full rack and it easily fed us both with the 2 sides. Potato Salad as a side was great. Coleslaw was lovely. We ordered a 3rd side of fries, very good, crispy. Meal was under $50 with tip for 2 of us. That is with no drinks Friendly service. Great variety on the menu. We will be back.
Fantastic food and drinks! Haven’t had a bad meal here yet. Brought family from NB for a meal and they made us bring them back for a second ;
