They don’t have a variety of important services concerning serious health issues aside from mental health, they made me wait almost an hour for a urine sample without any communication until I brought it up to the front desk, they are not informative enough on outside resources without making an apt with the actual MDs, and they’re short on the phone. Don’t bother coming here if you are seriously concerned with your physical health because they most likely will try to tell you it’s a mental healt issue and just prescribe you medication—at least that’s been my experience.

I have been to see Melissa Vertin for a couple of years now and I am highly impressed by her mannerism, professionalism, her great ability to listen to the patient and come up with own research and ideas how to meet the needs Of the patient. I have been very pleased with her and hope to keep her for the rest of my life.

I have become sick sic and tired of the corporate clinics; being over-billed by $125 for an annual physical exam which is covered by my insurance and taking a year, several letters and many phone calls was the last straw. I switched to this UGL clinic over a year ago and am more than satisfied with their knowledge, caring and availability. My MD "knows his stuff" and is diligent and thorough. As a retired MD, I am in a good position to judge.... I do recommend this Houghton Upper Great Lakes Clinic to friends and family.
