It's summer and my first year at this school just ended. I must say a lot of the teachers are awesome, some are rude. I'm in learning strategies and it was pretty helpful for me as a person who struggles with school. Sometimes when I get in trouble they treat me like an adult. The principal is really sweet but the vice principal not so much, he uses past mistakes against me aggressively to make me feel bad.nnI'm going to talk about the students now. Many are mean and hostile. The kids I had classes with would make homophobic or racist jokes which I reported. Not much changed. The Whitecaps guys are disrespectful to those younger than them and I tried to report it but not much changed either.nnThe building is nice and the scenery is beautiful. And the school overall is average.
My thoughts of this this high school are not very positive. We purchased a condo by the university area, so my son had to go there. What we didn't know was that this school focuses so much on international students that the local students feel left out. The ESL students tend to stay within their groups. This was tough on our son .
I don’t feel this school is a safe and productive learning place for me. Earlier today my friend was trying to cook his instant ramen in a microwave, But he made a honest mistake and left the tinfoil in a started a miniature fire but was quickly put out by a 12th grade named Ali. Me and my friends were not laughing or goofing off about it but the girls around us started saying to each other to “ pull the fire alarm so we can leave” they received no punishment and later pulled it even when the fire was out. Now Sean’s mom is going into school tmrw to fight a suspension for a mistake, and my friends are being exiled from our grade 9 basketball team. They were all just witnesses and were trying to put it out and keep themselves safe. But do to there rep of being silly people they were accused of doing it was a joke and on purpose. Luckily I received no punishment but they are now all banned for the season and when they mad amazing points that were true/factual Mr Bach just says life’s unfair. How can I be at this school if they don’t supply a fair education for me and my peers also I don’t feel safe being apart of my team anymore.
Would not recommend this school. Can't speak for all the faculty there but Emily Chen is a terrible counsellor and does not care about the students.
Needs more Asians. Not enough complaining about grades. We need a 100% average for all of our classes.
