We stopped in for boba and we are super glad we did. Wished we showed up hungry too as the smell of the cooking was amazing! The Fritz was pleasing and refreshing - unique combo - a suggestion by the staff. The Thai milk tea and black milk tea were all good as well. We will be back - and plan to try the food! Great vibe and eclectic decor.
Entering Unitea brings to mind an English tea room, with its Victorian armchairs and gilt-framed art. The menu offers traditional teas for the most discerning palate—Earl Gray and Darjeeling from India, black from Nepal. But just shift your gaze a little to the right of the menu board and suddenly, you’re confronted with new flavor offerings in creative pairings: I ordered an intriguing tea mixture called “RJ’s Blues,” which was a delicious mix of butterfly pea tea, hibiscus and cashew milk. I sipped and sipped and my senses were like, mm mm mmmmmore… But WAIT! Unitea is much MORE than a tea house. They also have a small menu of Filipino food, because Unitea is owned and operated by that chef with the perfect palate, Aniceto J.R Reña, formerly of Timpla, Cosme and Kaliwa. Whatever J.R. chooses to serve that day or weekend, be it the vegetable-laden kare-kare with the melt-in-your-mouth beef, or the pitch-perfect palabok, or the elevated tocino that looks like it belongs in any five-star restaurant, that dish will explode in incredible flavor in your mouth and will have the authenticity that will make you want to take your Filipino mom there when she comes to visit. And I didn’t even talk about the ube crinkles… The dining menu is small enough that I recommend bringing 2-3 friends and order everything. This warm, charming place with its great food and family feel is one of my new favorite places to eat, and it should be yours too.
UniTea had a wide assortment of choices on the menu. The shop was clean and seating was spread out enough so you're not sitting on top of other customers like you do in other shops. Relaxing atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and helpful, prices are good. Overall an excellent experience!
This place is super cute and cozy! I had the Pow punch tea and the arroz Caldo and mannnnn it was amazing. This was my first time having Filipino food and mannnnn Ive been missing out . I will most definitely be coming back. Also JR was very nice and friendly , he gave really good recommendations and has a lot of chef experience.
Tried out Unitea today and it was AWESOME! We got The Pow Pow Punch and The Rose and they were so good, hands down best fruit tea in the area! Seems like it is a small family owned place and it feels like it, very welcoming and great service. We are looking forward to coming back and trying different drinks.
My wife and I love UniTea and do our best to stop by at least once per week. The teas are amazing and the food is so good! We finally got to try their Filipino brunch this morning and it blew us away. The presentation, smells, and flavors were absolutely incredible. This is Asian culinary food at it’s finest - and it’s here in Leesburg! I can’t wait for next time! Photos here are of Tocino Silog, Rellenong Alimasag, and Minatamis.
Very kind and friendly staff at this small, family-owned tea cafe. They have a pretty wide selection of traditional hot tea, cold tea drinks, and light food. The space is well-decorated and clean, and I could easily see this becoming my new favorite downtown cafe! The prices are good considering the portion sizes you get, too. They also have several nice seating areas with great views to the outside.
This place never fails to impress me. The tea and the food are always delicious. The staff is very friendly and makes wonderful recommendations. My family and I have decided the Jasmine Pearls, Pow-Pow Punch, JahJah, and Avertea our favorites!
Thank you JR and family for staying open to feed my daughter and I. Your service and food were both impeccable but your kindness will be the reason we come back. See you on the weekends for brunch!
Very nice establishment with a wide variety of beverages and food to please everyone's palate. Definitely my go to for Bahn mi and smoothies
