Cute bakery with friendly staff. Why only 3 / 5 stars? The flavor just wasn’t there. The staff or owners need to taste their product before selling it. If it’s not a good batch then don’t sell it. How can pretzel buns not have any salt? Customer’s expect pretzels to be salty. If the recipe cannot change, then you need to update your marketing so customers will not be disappointed.
This is a super cute new bakery in the Burnaby area. Their pastries are made fresh daily which is so wonderful. I got the village soft bread and pistachio pretzel. Super delicious! They weren’t over sweet either which we really liked. The location itself is small and beautiful. Easy to get to as well. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Their products are on the more expensive side, but most of the items there are one of a kind so you’re paying for the uniqueness hence the name I guess? and the actual hard work put into making them. Since they don’t use preservatives and make everything from scratch, the time spent on making these pastries are a lot longer than other places at a commercial production scale. I really enjoyed the Chinese sausage pretzel, the chocolate mochi bun, and the chicken sausage and cheese pretzel bun. Will be back for more!
I recently found this super cozy little shop near my home, and I've been there several times already! As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the amazing smell of freshly baked bread, and I even saw the owner making pumpkin sauce from scratch. Everything is handmade, and they stuff the bread with so many fillings, it's really something I've never seen before, and it's totally worth the price. The staff and the owner are really friendly, and they let me try some new flavors, which were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it to everyone!
I would give them 0 star for the bread. Got them for $21. Kinda pricey. I was excited to try them and they were hard as chewing a tire. Really dried 0 moist. If you want to try this bakery.. do it, because I’m never going back here.Food: 1/5
The audacity the charge such exorbitant prices for such mediocre pastries is insane. The bread is dry, flavourless, the filling is the same. All these other reviews are definitely fake. Do not recommend!
I believe the overall rating is 3/5, as they don't deserve 4.5/5. I want to lower others' expectations. Perhaps they should taste their product first. Besides, the taste is worse than homemade, and I find it overpriced. Even though I'm quite hungry, I couldn't finish half of the pretzel.
This bakery is unlike any other found in Vancouver and truly deserving of its namesake! The storefront is cute and tucked away from the busy Brentwood mall, and if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth the short walk from the station. It is a small family owned business and the heart that’s put into making the bread really shows. The store is super cute and cozy! The ingredients are of high quality and freshly baked in-store each morning. They also emphasize healthy baking and use little to no sugar to create these guilt-free treats. Their pretzel-styled breads are a must try as well as the soft Hokkaido loafs that come in both plain and multi-grain. They offer both sweet and savory flavors and have limited seasonal flavors as well. The pretzel buns are just the right amount of chew and sweetness. They have a large range of flavors like black sesame, pistachio, and one of my personal favorite, earl grey. The savory sausage bun is also really yummy and so is the everything pretzel bagel if you love Trader Joe’s everything but the bagel seasoning you will love this!. The Hokkaido toast is one of the softest I have ever had. You can ask for the loaf to be cut in store but my favorite way of eating it is just to rip it apart. If you are someone who loves great quality bread and love pretzel you definitely need to check out this bakery!
The pretzel bread and buns here are delicious! My favorite is the mustard seed sausage pretzel, highly recommend if you like savory bread.
Variety of fluffy bread, both sweet and savory, worth the visit= no place to sit, just grab and go~Service: 5/5
