Worcester union station is one of the best looking stations in Massachusetts. The inside of the station is on par with the outside. The wayfinding and signs are simple and helps you navigate this over 100 year old station. The only issue I have with this station is the lack of seating. There is just nowhere to sit. This station is a all around treat to go to and I look forward to going here every time I go to Worcester. 4/5
Quite a befitting name “ Union station“ The train & bus station are all under one roof. . A good grand Beautiful arch. . You can catch your Greyhound, Peter Pan buses from the ground floor. . Train platform from level above. Trains don’t stop on the platform since it is getting renovated. So you have to walk 200 feet. . There is no café selling hot cheap drink or snacks. The city definitely has to work to offer affordable snacks not for the Rich man but middle and poor class traveling in public transportation. . . There is an expensive restaurant situated in the ground floor. But the operation hours are in the weekend, I think. . That is vending machines towards the bus depot . The Worcester downtown police, cannabis control commission is also within station itself
State of the art restoration but could use a functioning place to get coffee or food with some music or TVs while waiting for connecting transportation as many do. Can feel a bit eerie with dim lights and no rest area people just start sitting aimlessly in the enormous function hall. Bathroom locks need repair and could definitely use a few more security details. Trial and error finding a working outlet to charge electronics but such is par for the course in any urban public building.
Highly disappointed that the Worcester Union Station was under renovation while I was visiting. One of the more beautiful historical buildings in Worcester, the Union Station features a large event space Grand Hall as well as access to both buses and trains. It's definitely not as large as the main stations found in other major cities, but at least it's something to see while visiting Worcester.
A beautiful train station for sure. If you're taking the commuter rail though, there's no ticket agent here, which I thought was a little strange for a big station. You will have to buy your tickets on the train or online. The bathrooms here are some what clean, but in the afternoon they really aren't. Seems they only check them once a day. There's a coffee shop inside too but the coffee is not that good, but still least it's something if you need something.
I was very disappointed to see Union Station already starting to show its age after only 20 years after it’s wonderful restoration. The exterior stonework is crumbling out front, the yard work is shabby, even for Labor Day, bathrooms and elevator are beat up from vandalism ironic since there is a police station INSIDE the Station. I hope the City takes notice soon before the repairs become costly and tourists take notice!
I parked here for the Woosox game. I found the garage to be easy to navigate and very clean. I found the parking App for my iphone great at finding an available place from home to park, however I paid before I got there to reserve a spot which was easy but using the app to get my ticket stamped was not so ez, and finding someone to help was like looking for an honest man in prison, I eventually paid the $10 again with respect to my anticipated time lost and frustration.
amazing Art Museum. wish we could have stayed longer for duopiano at the Mass Symphony Hall
Does anyone know where the lost and found is located inside union station? And possibly the number?
Union. Station is always clean and trains on time. However, we needed to ask questions and there is no one here to ask. Therefore, we ended up buying tickets we didn’t need, $25. The train came in and one guy was nice the other one not so much. We wanted to ask questions but he snapped at us immediately. Very rude. Not a great way to have to start our morning off. We are on vacation and to be treated nasty when we are in a great mood, wanting to have a great day in Boston. Terrible.
