That is not a regular dinner plate, it's a serving plate. The panzos are huge. Moderately priced, but good for 2 people. Get extra sauceyes there is a charge, but you'll need it. Friendly takeout staff, lots of parking in back, and there is a back entrance.
Second best Italian I've ever had My moms #1 Awesome portion size great price all fresh ingredients. I'm so in love this place !!! Nice atmosphere laid back casual fireplace kick back try to finish your incredible meal have a drink just can't wait to come back. Homemade gnocchi for 15$ unreal!!! Real slices of bacon Love it
Uncle Gino's couldn't disappoint if they tried. An absolute must if you're in Sault Ste Marie. Actually, Algoma district. Hospitality: The front of house are some of the most attentive and friendliest people I've had the pleasure of dining with. In my many visits to this restaurant I've had nothing but lovely experiences with the service. The team from FOH to Kitchen are more than accommodating. Ambience: Being as Uncle Gino's has been around since I could remember it's a bit nostalgic for me but besides that it has a very nice ambience and provides comfortable dining. Great for families or business lunch/dinner. Definitely suitable for a birthday party with a mimosa bar. Eats: My family frequents Uncle Gino's for breakfast and it's selection is lovely. From your standard breakfast to their fluffy pancakes. Again.. mimosas. Their Italian food is amazing. Meatballs: Phenomenal, Arancini: To die for, Gnocchi : "Insert Drool Face", and their panzos are fit for a kingor queen..or family. Today's special was a braised beef paninisee picture... The only issue I had was that I didn't have room for a second one! So delicious. Dont leave without their special peaches... I took them to go because it's tradition. Thanks for having me and can't wait to come back!!

My 5 year old son has been recently diagnosed with Celiac disease… living in a smaller city with mostly Italian restaurants, there’s not a lot of options for him. I had contacted Uncle Gino’s ahead of time because we have always had a great experience with them. They were so fast to get back to me with all of their gluten free options that hadn’t yet made it to the traditional menu. I made a reservation, we arrived, they seated us promptly and were so friendly. When Gabriella spelling may be off came to greet us, she went above and beyond to make sure my little guy got a meal that he would enjoy while avoiding any contact with gluten. She customized it to his liking and it was phenomenal. The staff were all excellent, the food was served hot and so fresh. All around great experience and delicious food. Highly recommend Uncle Gino’s. Kid-friendliness: Our server was so good with my kids. They loved it! Dietary restrictions: Customized and careful with the restriction we had.
Food has never disappointed! You can taste the quality! The service is amazing, although they often get slammed around lunch time guess that's a good thing . Servers do their best to accommodate in what ever way they can. For someone new to the Soo, Uncle Gino's was so welcoming! Great spotFood: 5/5
No fresh bread with our means which was a bummer. The pasta was delicious gnocchi was like little pillows, and the chocolate cake was heavenly. Server was friendly, helpful with food choices, etc.Food: 5/5
Used to get the food daily but after being served a burger with rotten lettuce on a burnt bun I will definitely be spending my money elsewhere. I've seen better presentation and quality in gas station sandwiches. Edit, because there's no reply button: Yes I'm positive. I have family that has worked there, and I know the Bostons. I find it hard to believe as well, but that's what I was served.
Party of 9 here. From the moment we walked in, I was not impressed. We were waiting for our table to be ready, and I noticed there was a freezer with frozen meals. I wanted to inquire about the price of the frozen lasagna. When I asked the server at the bar what the price was, she said, "There's a price list right there," and continued to stare at her phone placed on the bar. The gentleman at the bar who was a customer was kind enough to point out the price. When we sat down to order our drinks, it was 11.45. They came back to say there was no ice tea, and the server was very overwhelmed, it seemed. I felt bad for her at first, so we continued to be patient. We put our order in, which was all breakfast items. An hour later, my husband and cousin in law got up and talked to the server at the bar and inquired about our food. The server stated "oh your order didn't go in." He stated his frustration and told them we would be leaving. The chef came out and asked if we wanted our food or not, and when we said no, she said, "ok, good." It's such a shame. Not even an apology, just the bill for our drinks. Needless to say, we won't be back. This is a shame because we really liked the reviews on this place and heard nothing but good things. Hopefully, the owner can speak to their staff about how to handle large tables. We always tip quite generously, so it's their loss.
Cannot say enough nice things about Uncle Ginos. Their staff is always super friendly and helpful and their food is amazing. We recently ordered take out as my family came up from down south and Uncle Gino’s is their favourite place to eat when they visit. Upon arrival for pick up the staff stated the chef INSISTED on making new fish as he wasn’t happy with the outcome of the first batch, even though my mom said not to worry. When the food was brought home there was a salad missing we weren’t too worried about this as we ordered a bunch of different salads and food in general. Once we were finished eating I noticed I had 2 missed calls from the restaurant. I called them back and they apologized for the missed salad that we didn’t even contact them about and they offered to have their delivery driver drop one off to us PLUS some delicious peach pastries. I cannot believe the outstanding customer service as they REALLY went out of their way to make up for a mix up which happens and we understand that, especially because we didn’t complain and yet they still wanted to make it up to us. Highly recommend this place as the staff is just as great as the food and vice versa :
