What can I say except for it's a no frills comfort food type restaurant, that has a bar. The food and service is good at reasonable prices.

Short: No frills Restaurant bar, no pool tables, no dart boards at least not that I saw. Food is pretty good. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Crowd seems to be mostly grown folks 30+.
Long: Met a friend here just before 5pm. for farewell drinks. I was acknowledged right away by the server and was told he'd be right with me. Stood there for 5-7 minutes as he walked by several times to refill ice in the soda area and serve a drink. My guest arrived and he asked if he could help us. I told him party of two. He told me it's open seating sit anywhere you like. You're probably thinking what I am, why didn't he say this in the first place right! We picked a table another 7-10 minutes later he asks what we would like to drink. Now, he did seem a bit busy and only one serving at the time. And I will note that he was friendly and knowledgeable once he did serve us. But reading previous post, there does seem trend with disappointing service.
However, after that rough start service was actually pretty good. There must have been a shift change since the male server was gone and replaced by two female servers.
I stayed for dinner and asked the regulars and bartender for recommendations. With the recommendations I ordered the chicken fried steak and an order of wings. The chicken fried steak and tators where of good quality diner food. The wings were plump and tasty on par with B dub dubs. However, cooked well enough where they were still juicy and I did not have to worry about biting into chicken that is still clucking. I worry about that with the aforementioned place.
Atmosphere: The regulars were friendly and chatty, I felt pretty comfortable. Seems like a good kick back place to go after work alone or with friends.
Overall I would say this seems to be a nice local bar to come for lunch or dinner, chat and relax after a long day.

We're not much for bar scenes, but Uncle Charlies is more a of community institution. They make available an upstairs room every Monday from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM for "Bibles and Beer" a study group which has been meeting there for years and ranges from 25 - 40 people. While I don't drink during the study sessions, it's nice to go downstairs afterwards and have one of specialty brews they have on tap. They also have some great "Fried Dill Pickles."

It's one of the better bars in the area. Good atmosphere fun flavor and a cool selection of drinks.
It's a retro place, but pretty fun.

Where to begin? They serve undercooked chicken wings. This wasn't a single occurrence, they do this continually. The first time I had my daughter with me and after she told me he food was cold, I told her to stop eating and we left. I was a regular and I didn't want to cause a scene. The second time, I asked to speak to a manager and was told there wasn't one. Which is strange, if not illegal, that no manager was around in a lace that serves alcohol. Despite being polite, yet firm about the substandard food and health hazards of uncooked chicken, they phoned the police. AND had the audacity to say I complained for free food DEPITE not eating a bite. After the police confirmed that they were not only wrong, but out of line on all accounts, i left. They have archaic and disrespectful staff and terrible food. I go out of my way to tell friends and coworkers to avoid them now. They need to go under or gut out all the ancient staff they have and hire new folks ant learn customer service.
