UNB Soulfood Restaurant

I’m going to start with one word Phenomenal!!! I travel 10 months out of the year and sample soul food from all over the country. I had the bbq rib tips with the sides of collard greens, Mac and cheese, and jambalaya. Every single thing was delicious. Don’t forget desert I had the chocolate mouse cake! Woah. Will definitely be back soon!

First time visiting. Place is nice inside. Fries a little overcooked but shrimp just right. Hushpuppies had a tad more seasoning than i prefer and mac has a little bit too much pepper but all in all pretty good

Wow- this is a special place! We dined here during our trip to the Midwest on 8/10/19. This restaurant serves up excellent quality soul food and customer service! Everything about this establishment is wonderful- from the owners to the food served. There is an abundance of delicious options to choose from on their menu- something for everyone. All of the food we ordered was extremely rich in flavor! Both the preparation & presentation of our meal was done with the utmost attention to detail. You will feel the love oozing out of each bite! Also, the warm & inviting atmosphere will make you feel right at home as soon as you enter the building. If you are looking for a soul food restaurant, then look no further- give UNB a try…you will be a repeat customer!!

My first time here and I couldn't be more pleased! The service was quick, the workers were friendly and so kind. I had the fried chicken, okra and Mac and cheese. Each had a slight twist on the traditional dishes with bold seasonings! I'll definitely be back!!!

So... I can see why my mom loves this place!!! Every time she comes home, she has nothing but good things to say about the food, hospitality, and dessert My mom brought a carry-out home for me. When I tell you... The macaroni and cheese is so good!!!! I am not a fan of everyone's Mac and cheese. But, this was my favorite. Also, the rib tips are on point. The sauce has a little kick to it. But, otherwise, they were meaty, not over seasoned, and a good portion. I am definitely a fan and will be back soon

Tuesday was my first time experiencing the food and I will definitely be back! I had the catfish, mac n cheese, greens, muffin and lawd that sweet potato cheesecake. All of the food was seasoned to perfection. It's not often that you get a muffin and wish you had more. The service was on point. I wound up here because I tried another soul food restaurant not far from this but the line was busy, not the first time this happened so I was like lets give UNB, let's just say I'm glad the other places line was busy. I wish the place was bigger because on Sunday I'd like to bring my parents after church, but I'm sure with the food being so good there's a line and my parents can't stand in lines. Keep up the good work, I'll be back just have to figure out what to try next!

My costumer service was not good. I called back with several complaints including missing items, and discolored food. The food was not flavorful and was obviously old. The on duty manager told us to expect a call back by Tuesday, it was Sunday. As a huge supporter of black owned businesses I tend to be patient and understanding to upcoming businesses when they have to establish a brand. However, truth is truth. It was not good tasting nor was it fresh. Customer service was less than stellar as the owner called me back to argue with me .

On a Sunday, you definitely can't go wrong with the buffet. The service was awesome. Short of the 5 star because the seasoning on the catfish nuggets was lacking and fried chicken gizzards was a bit tough. Highly recommend the chicken wings with the barbecue sauce. Any disappointments will surely fade away

The woman who works there named Mary is very kind and sweet. Got my order for Uber eats ready in a jiffy and was thorough. I’ve never been here to dine myself but I’m coming back for dinner tonight. Keep up the great work

My first time here from Baltimore, Maryland. We were at a rest stop and a bus driver told us about UNB. I had catfish/shrimp with collard greens and sweet potato. The food was good. The service was good. I will differently be back if in the area.
