Awesome rec site with plenty to do and see. We hiked one of the trails across the bridge and it was beautiful. Great place to stop and recharge if driving through the canyon. There are vault toilets and a dumpster on site too. The suspension bridge across the river offers some great pics with mountains in the foreground.
October 13th 2022, stopped here for some great photo opps of the canyon and the yakima river on our way to yakima from kirkland. we used the restrooms and walked across the bridge that stretches across the river with the train tracks in view. just as we were midway on the bridge a train came rolling through and blew his horns for us Restrooms: two compostable toilets. i personally didn't use them, bc i wont use port-a-potties but my girlfriends had no complaints Dog-friendliness: let ur pup out to stretch, sniff around and relieve himself
Great spot to launch floating the river. Very crowded make sure to get there early. A lot of different ways to enjoy this gorgeous place.
Wonderful and easy hike for Spring hiking. The wild flowers were out, late May. Great for kind. Very unique ecosystem for birds and trees. Rattlesnakes in the summer.
This spot now has a brand new bridge! This is a great spot, in the Yakima Canyon, to access the Yakima River to float or fish. Also cross the bridge to access trails. There are picnic benches and restrooms available, so a great spot to take a rest or eat when traveling. It does require a day pass if you plan on being there for a while or leaving your car unattended.
Always my favorite place to visit over the years. It was stunning again this late summer day.
This place was a relaxing spot with a beautiful water feature and suspension bridge. Also, they have bathrooms.
It was crowded but it was also very hot! We found a bench with some shade to eat lunch then we played in the river.
Lots of people rafting and intertubing on the river nice hiking trails. One trail runs by the creek. The cree was too shallow to fish labor day weekend
I find the train and the noise it made while traversing this beautiful area comforting in an odd way.
