Great location for photos, was looking forward to seeing the umbrellas but they have taken it down.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This will just be a quick stop or something you will quickly walk past/under unless you decide to have a drink at one of the pubs in the alley. We just walked through & thought it was worth it since it’s not hard to get to. I would recommend it but it’s not a main attraction.
I couldn't see umbrellas coz there were none, but the view was good. The local shops were good.
Very aesthetic. You can sit in patio and enjoy the view as there are plenty of restaurants with pretty good menu.
I stumbled across this alley whilst walking through old Quebec. The bright multi-colour umbrellas hanging above stand out so much you feel compelled to stop by and take photos. Whilst there, there are a couple of restaurants that offer happy hour in the afternoon. Suffice to say, we stopped by for a couple of drinks. It's a must-see whilst visiting for something a little different.
Very cool experience! A beautiful area, with lots of cool shops and things to see. Picturesque, but can be busy at times
Umbrella Alley is a beautiful shot to capture a lot of pictures and the whole street has some amazing restaurants to try some tempting food and visit some local stores to shop souvenirs.
Would have been cool but there is no umbrellas anymore.
This is definitely not to be missed if you're visiting the city in summer. It is probably one of the most photogenic locations in the city most photogenic for me - for some reason I'm not a fan of the Chateau Frontenac hotel - bit overrated for me. Colorful umbrellas give a very vibrant feel to the location - definitely lifts up the spirits. There are a few shops and restaurants in this small but beautiful alley. From what I know, the alley isn't covered with umbrellas in winters which was quite expected, so you may be disappointed.
