Impressed by the cleanliness inside and liked the convinience of online order pick up for multiple restaurants. My Swiss Chalet order was ready on time. Staff was very attentive to hand over my package. Food was nicely packaged and warm.
Would give 0 stars if I could. The chicken was NOT cooked. Missing all the sides I paid for. Missing extra meatballs on pasta. No side Parmesan. Also missing hot dipping sauce. Terrible meal for 60$. Missing so much and also have to throw the chicken out. Restaurant won’t pick up phone for complaint. I have called numerous times. Edit: the store finally picked up the phone. The associate explained that the person who made my food was new. They asked me to send in my complaint through ubereats and offered to remake the meal.
DO NOT GO HERE, THEY SERVE MOLDY AND OLD FOOD. Who knows how long they hold their ingredients past their expiry dates. Ordered a Cobb Salad, through their Fresh menu and the tempeh had mold in it. We didn't realize that it was moldy because it was already seasoned. Which I'm assuming is a way they try to get away with using older ingredients.
Have you ever wanted half the insides to your chicken pot pie? Or no bacon or cheese on your Canuck sandwich? Well this is the place for you! They might even forget your drink, like they did for me! I placed this order at 2:11 and received it at 4:10. Taking 2 hours to fulfill an incomplete order is all I ever wanted. Thank you Swiss Chalet.
Honestly SO DISAPPOINTING. Boiled rotisserie chicken leg lol fatty rack of ribs hardly any meat, Long wait, missing gravy for the poutine, stale fries, it was honestly the worst Swiss chalet meal ever. Thankfully they gave us some extra chocolate to make up for the lack of dinner we were about to have lol. Definitely not this location again. Great concept but they need to really get organized.
Didn't even get the chance to try these guys. I went to order my dinner and they refused me service because I was paying in cash. Cash is legal tender. Anyways they went on to suggest with a cocky smirk I may add that they only accept credit. All other forms of payment are not supported.
Cool concept, so many options on one menu. When I entered, I went to the counter and was told right away that I had to order from one of the menu screens. There are numbered slots where they put your order when it's up, sadly this is to take out only. Maybe there were tables prior to the pandemic, another just came in and asked a question and the staff only replied with a hard 'no'.
Neat concept but the service falls a bit short and its not the employees fault. Before attending I ordered online through the ultimate kitchens website. Went through the steps of ordering and paying using google pay. A few seconds later I get a message that they have taken my payment but did not receive my order?? Huh?? why would you take my payment if you didn't receive my order. Message said to speak to an employee but no phone number provided. Called about 4 times with no answer but finally got through to someone. The person on the phone was helpful and apologetic. Arrived about 20 minutes later and my order was not on the screen. So I stood by the cash....all the employees were too busy to even acknowledge me until 10 minutes later when I had to flag down a passing employee. She was very polite and provided me with my order which was sitting the whole time on a back counter. The food was good and they threw in an extra pie. They really need to have more staff working and acknowledge their customers when they are standing at the cash.
They can’t be counted on to get your order right… I’ve ordered takeout from them many times, and twice they got my order completely wrong. While they compensated me with a free meal both times after I contacted them, they still would miss the complementary sides like bread, salad dressing/bacon bits etc over and over again. I didn’t bother complaining about the missing sides because I didn’t want to sound like a picky/annoying customer constantly calling to complain about missing items. But it is very frustrating to pay for the whole meal and only get part of it. It would be much easier for both the restaurant and the customer if they just got my orders right the first time round. How many times do you want to compensate people for your wrong orders? edit: I ordered online and it “didn’t go through their system” so they only made my order when I got there and showed my receipt. What a waste of people’s time. The whole point of ordering in advance is to not have to get there and wait for them to make the food.
I recently tried this place as we were with friends and no one knew what they wanted, but knew when they didn't want someone else's suggestion. I had no idea this place existed don't live in the area but given it was right by my friends place and had a variety of options, it seemed like the perfect choice. The staff were all very really friendly and my food Swiss Chalet was tasty and hot, especially the fries that you could tell had just come out of the fryer. I can't speak for everyone else with me, but no one complained about their meals or had any issues with what was ordered as far as I remember. Overall the concept is really smart and I will definitely visit again.
