Well worth checking out if you’re in the area. Don’t go expecting a large multi room affair but for the price and location you can’t go wrong. Everyone there was really knowledge and took the time to answer any questions we had. It’s also a catch and release aquarium which adds to the appeal.

"Cute little aquarium" would work but it wouldn't give as much credit as it should! Ucluelet's aquarium is fantastic as it exhibits local species that you can see very, very close and even touch! No need to say that kids enjoy that but it is actually a very interesting dimension for everyone. Around the main tank there are quite a few smaller ones where you can dive your hands into (with all due respect to their inhabitants). In all of them compositions are very pleasant to observe... Also, the staff is very kind and helpful. You can feel they love that place very much and they certainly want you to enjoy it!

This was a really amazing experience! You get to learn about & see all kinds of marine animals, that you wouldn't even know were bumping up next to you in the ocean! The jellyfish tank was mesmerizing! The staff were very knowledgeable & eager to talk to us. I just loved this place so much!

An amazing small aquarium which is worlds away from big budget edutainment style aquariums. The hands on exhibits were amazing and delighted adults and children alike. The sea creatures are from the water right around town and they are released back into the wild each fall. The tanks just used sea water from directly below the aquarium and if you walk down the boardwalk you can see the water returning to the ocean. A must see if you find yourself in Tofino or Ucluelet.

One unique place where you can touch sea creatures and learn about them from friendly guides. They release all the creatures back to ocean at fall and have new ones coming each spring. This also is non profit organization. The place looks small but you can spend couple hours or half a day there. This is not just another aquarium!
