Great service and staff, food and drinks were well made and delicious. Atmosphere was great in the lounge for a date night. We particularly enjoyed the beets in the beet salad, crab mushroom caps, and the server hot chocolate brownie with ice cream and whipcream for desert.
Long wait for beers and drinks. Food was ok but not great. I would say it’s one of those regular west coast pubs. It sounds fancy on the menu but the execution is just meh…
I started with a fresh cocktail called Soul Revival. It was a nonalcoholic beverage, but very refreshing and delicious. I also ordered the Taphouse burger with dirty fries, which were mouthwatering and delicious. I highly recommend this place.
Our party of 6 ordered a variety of food including the gobi pakora, top sirloin steak, creole rigatoni, Skookum chicken burger, taphouse fried chicken sandwich pictured, and the togarashi orange bowl pictured. Overall, the food was tasty and well presented, although slightly on the pricier side, especially for the appetizer. Desserts were tasty and slightly better value. Their beer is a good deal at $9.75 for 22oz. Service was friendly, no real complaints there. Would recommend stopping by if you’re not on a super tight budget.
Initially, we were not sure what to expect as far as food at this taphouse....but surprise, surprise, surprise... lots of interesting main courses to choose from. We had the Dragon Bowl and the Orange Crispy Chicken/Mango/ Avocado dish called Togorashi Orange Bowl. Both were excellent, and we topped it off with the Brownie Heaven and Apple Blosdom for dessert. Recommend while visiting the Sechelt area.
