Had the best peppercorn brandy steak of my life here. It beats places that charge 3x as much. Would defiantly return for it. Service was very poor. Nobody ask if I wanted more water. Nobody asked if the food was ok. And my starter salad came after my steak. They need to really step up the server game. I also saw the gentleman who works at the counter in the hotel walk into the kitchen and help an elderly lady put away clean dishes. Buddy did not wash his hands, or wear an apron. Sketched me out quite a bit.
Went in for Breakfast this morning walked in the front door to the hotel lobby the girl was in the office with her feet up on the desk laughing in a dark room. She gave me directions to the restaurant. Walked in stood right in front of the cashier she didn't say nothing at all got up walked past me to a table. Came back sat back down didn't say nothing again 3 or 4 minutes went buy while she counted money walked past me again to a table still didn't say nothing. Came back sat at the cashier again didn't say a word to me at that point I walked out. I will not pay for poor service like that and it's probably a testament to how the food was going to be as well. WORST SERVICE EVER! I am a local resident and business owner this was my first time coming to try the restaurant and 1000% I or my family will never ever be back. Avoid this place like the server ovoids you.
Nice place in a convenient location. Good food, great staff, nice rooms, ..loved the high pressure shower. No hesitation in recommending it and/or staying there again!Food: 4/5
Nice little restaurant. Menu options seem rather good. I had the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was rather bland but the hashbrowns that came with were really good. I will eat there again and would recommend if you are passing through to stop and check it out Vegetarian options: Saw a vegetarian option on the menu Parking: Ample parking they have a wide parking lot

We stayed in the Tweedsmuir Hotel overnight in early November. It has taken over a month and six requests to finally get a receipt. No apologies were made. We won’t be staying there again.
Room 311 has so much wind noise. Although tonight there was a big wind storm. It sounds like my windows are open but it's fully closed.Food: 3/5
Never stayed at hotel but tried the restaurant. Good price for wings, clean establishment. There is a pub and bar downstairs soon to open

If the service at the restaurant was better I would have gave it a better rating, only reason I didn't give it 1 star was the Food they server was great everytime I've eaten there. The hotel rooms are okay. They are not sound proof at all... You can hear people walking up and down the stairs, hallways and the floor above you. The food is Good, the service is always a long wait not matter how busy it is there Or they ignore you purposely. Which you have to go get your own cutlery, napkins or alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages at the bar.
