Ordered here for the first time. I'm so happy to have genuine Indian food available locally! Rice, fish and samosas are on point. Lots of meat in the butter chicken. Recall that it is all about the sauce! 100% a do again. I'm so happy you opened up shop!!
A warm and inviting restaurant met by a warm and inviting host. Such a wonderful dinner experience. I must say, the food here is incredible, we're still talking about the food and flavours hours after being home. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
I've ordered takeout three times now from this friendly, charming little restaurant in bustling downtown Tweed! I'm a vegetarian, and I've really enjoyed their chana masala, palak paneer, vegetable korma, and various appetizers and delicious naan. The food is superb, and the prices are reasonable for their decent-sized portions. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian selection. Parking: Parking out front on the street is easy.
What a delicious dinner! It's nice to have some different options for food in our small town my husband and I loved everything and will definitely be trying more of the menu!
Ordered chicken biryani and Curry Goat. Neither dish tasted at all like an Indian delicacy. They both were horrible. Biryani was served with stewed tomatoes!! You could not smell or taste the savory Garam Masala or Saffron! The chicken was tough and dried out. The rice was mushy. The curry goat was drowned in vinegar! Who puts vinegar in curry goat! I was charged $3.10 for 1/2 of a naan.! I would not recommend this restaurant. They do not know how to prepare East Indian food. The food upset my stomach. I had to throw it out as it was not palatable. Beware before you order from this restaurant.
We have been trying to eat here. Finally I had chicken methi delicious boquet of flavours and spices. My husband had beef Curry which he really enjoyed. We shared samosas which were also excellent. Worth the drive to Tweed. We will be back to try different dishes.
The staff were very friendly, the food was very very tasty. We had the chicken marsala and it shows a 1 pepper, it's VERY hot. Be sure to ask for something to help tame the heat if you're not used to spicy. Would highly recommend!!
1.Raita and rasmalia portion are too small 2. Naans have some oily after taste coming and it’s look like they have used frozen naan and then they have just toasted them and naans are too small 3. Paneer makhani was ok Overall don’t like the food Sorry to say but it’s the truth guys you have to make some changes seriously
I needed tasty takeout half way through a motorcycle tour. Something that would fit in my saddlebags and not spill. Tight fitting lids sealed in the most delicious and luscious Indian flavors. I ordered for 1 but could easily have fed two. The samosas are huge and scrumptious. Parking: Lots of street parking on both sides and very close to the large parking lot on the corner.
Friendly little restaurant for dine-in, take-out or delivery of authentic Indian cuisine. Great for a quick lunch, I had a nice, spicy goat curry with basmati rice today. Will definitely visit Tweed Desi again, when I am in town.
