The Tux is a wide open course with small greens. Pace of play is usually under 4 hours. Reasonably priced public golf course.
Staff were not friendly but the driving range is pretty decent. Most times I have gone the driving range has been relatively packed as well as the chip and putt green. Book in advance if you are going to play golf here as walk on times are slim.
The Ladies in the restaurant just fantastic and the food excellent. The golf course charging full rates at the end of the season with the greens aerated and the par 5 knocked down to 100yds and with holes on the majority of the greens is disgusting. being a City course makes sense as once again the City will find a way to gouge you while getting exercise. The pro shop staff should quit being to miserable !
Had a bachelor party with 2 groups of 3, were not holding any groups up. We all combined for handicap of 4. Marshall was following us around the course and would not let us join for a last hole best ball on a par 3, poor experience... but we did anyways :
Been here a bunch of times only because of convenience. Staff is not friendly and the fairways are like riding a bucking bronco in the golf carts. Dont really plan to golf Here again unless its the only option like the other times iv played.
Do you want to feel like your presence is a nuisance? Visit the pro shop and talk to the older guy. Want to be herded and watched for multiple consecutive holes as if you'll steal or vandalize at the first chance you get? Talk to the guy making sure you're keeping pace. Want to know what an old wooden roller coaster feels like? Drive along any of the fairways.
Been golfing this course for over 16+ years. My experience last week was the last straw. The staff were extremely rude, horrible customer service. Will not return. The staff should be embarrassed to treat people the way they do.
This is a great course within the city. Great variety of holes and features. The club house food is good. The course is well maintained, but there are issues with ruts/mounds on the fairways of three holes. There is really nothing the course can do about these, and it's not a major issue, just makes for a bumpy ride on the cart for a few holes.
Booked one week in advance. They closed the course the day of and did not update us. Don't expect a decent lie if you hit the fairway. Absolute warzone out there. Overpriced and only pro is the location.
Would not return. Staff was rude and treated myself and our group like criminals. Asked to look in my friends bag which had a sweater and rain coat. Never been searched by pro shop staff. These workers were not professional by any means. Would recommend any other course over this. Pathetic. Also the course is in horrible condition. $70 a round and now I require I chiropractor for my sore back from the bumpy fairway. GARBAGE COURSE! GARBAGE STAFF!!
