Turtle's 1890 Social Centre

Awesome. Top notch service, great space and friendly staff. We hosted our youth sports banquet here and it was flawless. Having such a nice space makes decorating easy, and they have the process down so well. Full audio and video for speeches and slideshows, background music, cake cutting. Bryan and his staff were awesome. If you are considering this space, don’t hesitate - you won’t regret it.

If you are looking for a wedding venue look no further!! When I say this place was a fairytale I am not kidding! Bryan the owner is absolutely amazing and upfront with cost, Karin the bartender staff was the sweetest and an AMAZING bartender and facilitator. And not the mention we had the pasta buffet PLENTY of food and so delicious it was to die for. This is your dream wedding waiting for you! We had our wedding here and we can give it our highest recommendation. Brian and Alaina were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and experienced. We never felt pressured or like we were being up-sold. The space has charm and classic beauty, so it doesn't need much decoration. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I don't think there is a better value at our pricepoint for venue, food, drink etc. The venue itself is very nice, though even well under capacity, it felt very full at ~185 people. The staff was excellent, friendly and thorough.

I love this bar. I only get here once every 3 to 4 years, usually for a special event like Mothers Day, icon birthday, etc. Service is spot on, food is excellent, and prices are more than fair.

We had our wedding reception at Turtle's 1890 Social Centre. The space itself is so beautiful that we needed only minimal decorations. Bryan and his team are wonderful! Bryan was very knowledgeable, answered my many questions during the planning process, and helped my husband choose great beer for the reception. The food is excellent! We had a two-meat buffet, roast beef and chicken. While it sounds like basic wedding food it definitely was not, our guests were raving about how delicious it was all night. If we ever need an event space in the future, Turtle's will be on the top of our list!

What a wonderful center for a wedding. The transformation of the room was remarkable. The service was great. Even the changes in layout to accommodate dancing went off without a hitch. Obviously a great staff that had done it before. Of course the wedding party may be really why this is a five star rating

We hosted a fundraiser at the social centre and not only was it staffed and managed above and beyond my expectations, everything was setup just as we had asked and I couldn't have asked for a better event coordinator and just general guy with tons of experience than Bryan. We highly recommend this space for any group gatherings!! Thank you Bryan, Barb and Ashley for an amazing evening!

We had our wedding reception here just last Friday and we couldn't have been happier with the results. Bryan Turtle is super easy to work with and his staff are fantastic. The food was excellent quality and you can't beat the price when it comes to anything wedding related. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to book a wedding reception or any other kind of event.
