In 2012 I had Truly Scrumptious do our Wedding Cupcakes. Everything was perfect. I have given them MANY referrals through the years and friends have been telling me what an awful experience they have had. I could not believe it until..... I called myself and asked to place and order that was 3 weeks away. Before I could say that it was only 2dz cupcakes the Owner cut me off and said she was booked that weekend and was rude about it and not apologetic at all. Being in the restaurant business I understand busy and I get it however, customer service speaks volume. Truly Scrumptious you have lost a customer and will never receive another referral from me again.

The best wedding cake we ever tasted was baked, decorated, and delivered to Philadelphia by Truly Scrumptious. After tasting mediocre cakes and fillings from several Philadelphia bakeries, we made an appointment with Cathy, who was charming and cooperative. Along with another couple, my wife and I tasted several amazing cakes, fillings, and icings, and had trouble eliminating any because they were all delicious. We ended up combining chocolate and funfetti layers in a square four layer cake, decorated with candy pearls and fresh flowers. It was spectacular, and the guests at the wedding raved. If you are willing to pay for the best, this is the go-to bakery for the best wedding and party cakes available!

I had a cake made for a bridal shower and while it was beautifully decorated it was the wrong kind of cake. The owner said she would send me a gift certificate but after 4 months and 4 phone calls later I still have not received anything. Customer service is not a priority there.

I happened to be passing this place one warm spring day and thought id stop in for some cupcakes. It happened to be my girlfriends birthday and she loves cupcakes. Score! Right? Looked nice and charming from the outside. I walked in and noticed Its a nice little place, in addition to all the tables being empty. In hindsight, this would prove to be somewhat of a premonition. As I was standing at the counter looking at the neatly displayed cupcakes a woman walked out of the back bakery, from where I'd always assumed is a magical land of cupcakes, rainbows, and unicorns and stood at the counter. When I say she stood there, I really mean it. No greeting, smile or hint of engagement. So, I said Hello. It was kind of awkward, but I'd be darned if I let that detract from my goal of getting my girlfriend her birthday cupcakes! Cant win 'em all, right? After that pleasant initial interaction, I asked for 3 different cupcakes which were neatly displayed in the case. The woman then proceeded to unenthusiastically box them for me. No emotion, certainly no unicorns or magic. While she was carefully boxing my cupcakes, I had attempted again to make some small talk and noted that I wasnt aware they had a small snack menu and a place to dine. Her response was an overwhelming, monotonic "Yea." Ok, now its just REALLY awkward. I gave up. Finally, it came time to pay. After the woman mumbled my total, I handed her my card which she swiped and handed back without even saying "Thank You." She asked if I wanted a receipt, I said "No, thank you." She proceeded to hand me a receipt. This moment was the proverbial icing on the cake (pun!). A perfect example of the whole experience. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and think maybe she just found out that she WONT save money by switching her car insurance, and subsequently wasnt in the best mood. Hey, it happens to the best of us. That being said, in an era where we're constantly bombarded with mega retailers and grocery store bakeries, I think maintaining a modicum of charm is standard for a local bakery. I will never again support this business. Go to Bakery Delite instead, I will never again go anyplace else for baked goods in the kingston/wb area!

Great place. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Awesome cupcakes and coffee. Owner seemed nice and most of her staff goes out of there way for you. Only one time I had a server make the wrong type of drink for me.
