Mixed feelings, would have given more stars.... Great food and the staff does the best they can, but the wait is just too long for lunch time, they need to hire a few more people during peak times if the day, I would recommend, but time it right or you won't get your food in time for your lunch break
Was in today they were busy I waited 15 mins for my order to be taken then I waited another 15 for my order to be made which was 1 large smoothie and 1 Jr. Meanwhile ppl who walked in after me had their orders before I did as well as them ordering food and drink. I also watched 2 uber/door dash drivers get their large orders before mine was even started. Alyssa wanted to use the excuse of her being 1 person when asked why the other folks received their drinks and food before me meanwhile I was already there and had placed my order of 2 smooties. I will not return
Came here from Fort Wayne Indiana to visit some places in this town and me and my brother decided to stop by this place to get ourselves something to drink and the smoothies we had did not disappoint! Next time I visit Michigan, I will be stopping by again!
As a chain, I love this store. That’s what earns the 2 stars. This location is a disaster. Wait times have been outrageous whether you order in the app or at the counter. Staff appears flustered, mainly on the sandwich side. I’m just going to avoid temptation and pretend this place doesn’t exist. Sorry, hope it turns around.
I have no idea how anyone can give more than 2 stars for this location. We keep coming back hoping things will change with nothing but constant disappointment. We always wait 15 to 20 minutes for 1 smoothie and not when they are busy. App orders are always made 1st and make people who come into the store wait. Back in Toledo, OH we never have issues. Maybe someone from Corp should come and train on efficiency and effectiveness because this location lacks both. Employees may be "nice" but the product coming out is less than steller.
Servers are always prompt and courteous. The fruit in the smoothies taste fresh and the drink is always ice cold and very refreshing, not sugary. I've only had one of the wraps but it's so good I tell anyone that'll listen. Reasonable prices considering it's fresh and healthy food.
Let me start off by saying I love Tropical Smoothie. I just hate this location. The last 3 times I went were horrible. Customer Service Is Poor: - I went last night and it was just teenagers goofing around and using foul language which is ridiculous. They spent more time talking to their friends in the store they weren't even customers than us who were ordering. - If they're not goofing around, they're on their phones or just slowly walking around not doing much of anything even when the store is packed. - Me and my friend were the only ones in the store that was ordering. The smoothies arrived quickly, but the food took about 30 minutes. It was only two three cheese chicken quesadillas. I'm not sure what they were doing, but they weren't making orders. Smoothie/Food Quality: - As stated in other reviews, the smoothies are inconsistent. It's either really good, or it's barely passable as flavored water. - The food. Not even sure where to start with this one. The time before this, they left the chicken out of the order when that's the main ingredient. This time, they handed us the food and it was still cold like it just came out of the fridge. They had to have noticed this when putting them into the boxes since no cheese was melted and she grabbed the food with her bare hand. I also watched the employee wipe off the counter with her hand and place the food directly on the counter instead of on the paper wrap or in the box like usual. The sauce was also left out of the meals. I ended up just getting a refund. After I returned the food there wasn't even an apology. I understand mistakes happen and people have off days, but they should at least act like they care about the customers and this shouldn't be happening every time I go there. Overall, I believe this store is run by teenagers who were never properly trained, so they improperly train the next hires.
I was so excited to find a health focused restaurant with vegan options in Coldwater, but my experience ended in disappointment. My wrap was so over sauced that it immediately made my stomach hurt, and the wrap was maybe 20% full. The wrap was missing ingredients, and the employee who took my order did not mention the free side that came with the wrap, she just didn't give me anything. The smoothie was ok, but more like a slushy than an actual smoothie. It cost $16, and now my stomach hurts and I am still hungry....I will probably not give this place a second chance.
Amazing food and great staff! Food was brought out to me in a timely manner. The design is amazing inside the establishment and it is affordable. I highly recommend coming here!
I enjoy the smoothies always!! I didnt realize all the options and this place existed til recently. Glad to have healthier options. I always get a smile or good service there. At night the guy in braids makes a great sandwich. Unfortunately, I was struck with a TropicbuzzKILL today. There was no friendly, no good vibes today from staff at counter. Guy in pink attire seemed obligated to work there mentally and physically. Girl looked uncomfortable about environment and her uniform. We are all human. We all have bad days. If you are obligated to be there, at least be professional. Glad you are there! 01/28/22
