Had a heat pump installed by Trinity yesterday and it was a fantastic experience! Everyone was very friendly, kind, and respectful! They did an awesome job in a timely manner. Everything looks perfect. Mr. Roussy took the time to talk to us about tips and tricks to using a heat pump and asked what our goals were for heating with it. He then set it all up the way we wanted it so we just have to turn the heat up and down depending on our preferences. All four of the men were accommodating and explained everything they were doing. Matt showed us how to clean it out and they cleaned up before they left! Would 100% recommend.
Trinity quoted and completed work on adding additional insulation to the attics of our home. On time and under budget. The two gentleman were very courteous and professional in their approach. They worked hard to minimize any dust from the blown in cellulose and readily answered any questions we had. Would have no reservations recommending them to anyone.
Quoted me for work that didn't need to be done. Painted my emergency shut-off valve closed. Knocked over the kitchen table damaging plants and a gifted homemade candle. Didn't respond to emails about my concerns. Did manage to spray foam the basement, though. Will not use any of their services again.
We had the crews into spray foam and fire proof our basement, remove our damaged attic insulation and new installed, and a new back and front door. Everyone we dealt with was awesome. We noticed a difference in the house immediately. We will be back to get the rest of our windows replaced over time. Thanks guys.
In Nov 2022, Trinity gave me a written quote, with tax in at $1679 and contract to sign, with description "general air sealing", but not including any other information . I felt unclear of how Trinity customized my quote when they did not take measurements. I asked for a breakdown of the work, and how long the work would take. Trinity told me" they do not provide that information" but it may not take eight hours. The representative told me I could speak with the internal office member who produced the quote but that did not happen. So I contacted Efficiency Nova Scotia and other heating solution providers who advised me that Trinity's quote should have some details of work to be included. They advised me to contact Trinity again and provided me with information that I should ask Trinity for. I did ask Trinity to give me more detail of what will be included in my quote and a general work that will be done. Trinity responded with the following, "As a company, with our current overwhelming work schedule, we are now booking into late spring 2023 for this division of work. We cannot meet your demands that you have requested, and at this time, it would be better to seek the services you require elsewhere as we don't seem to be a good fit. Thank you for contacting Trinity Energy Group and we regret that we are unable to help you." This reply from Trinity is not in line with Consumer Protection guidelines which recommends contracts should be clear, straighforward accurate description of services being purchased; what needs to be done, costs for materials and fittings, the hourly labour rate and how long the work will take. That way written quotes with detailed breakdown of costs and work performed helps consumers avoid disputes about what work is included in your overall price. NS Consumer Rights website and NS Consumer Protection, and Better Business Bureau Serving the Atlantic Provinces can provide helpful information for all. Researching information and reporting concerns is especially important for Nova Scotians who advocate for seniors and vulnerable folks trying to navigate heating improvements. It's helpful to read "employee reviews" online, providing insight into how Trinity and all companies engage with their employees and customers, in a 360 degree evaluation to assess overall integral business practices. As a consumer, my experience with Trinity was very concerning. It is my view that this business practice requires attention from Efficiency Nova Scotia to improve professional standards and guidelines from their "Preferred Partners" they select in order to protect NS customers.
They made a mess of the wiring in my house. We called them on multiple occasions to arrange payment and they wouldn't answer the phone. Then they called and spoke to my wife in a threatening, rude manner. I asked for an apology but of course the coward running his mouth didn't have the courage to return my call. Very unprofessional, unreliable, amateur operation. Whoever runs this outfit is completely incompetent, never EVER again! "Response from the owner2 days ago Hello, your experience does not line up with any of our customer experiences as of late. We are happy to put you in touch with the owner to make this right if this is an honest review. Please call our office and reference that you left us a negative review on Google and wish to speak with the owner. Without your name we cannot contact you directly. Thank you." You had the opportunity to make this right. My review is legitimate and it stands. Hopefully you will learn how to treat customers in the future.
I would highly recommend this company. Great communication with them well almost and the installers were great, they gave us lots of info of how to run the Heat Pump for max efficiency. Very nice, friendly guys. I gave it a 4 1/2 star because the warranty cost was never discussed in our communications. as stated below We assumed that it was included in installation. We have a 2 bedroom Mini Home in Pictou County and the Heat Pump works great! 1 Heat Pump ..HPWarrantyIDU Standard indoor unit warranty, 12 years parts & 12 years labour included. $165.90 1 Heat Pump ..HPWarrantyODU Standard outdoor unit warranty, 12 years parts & 12 years labour included. $245.70 I was never told about this 12 year warranty cost of total $411.60 in any correspondence from Trinity Energy Group. Anyway, in hindsight we are glad we did, gave us 12 years of worry free heat and AC. But they should have been more up-front about warranty costs. Still highly highly recommend this to anyone. They duped me in a heat pump deal as I was grieving a tragic death in my family. It ended up costing me an extra $2300 no warranty. The manager was the guy who did me over. Not on bit of remorse.
Booked over a month ago. Confirmed the meeting for today on Friday and the installer did not show up. Wasted 3 hours of my day. It would have been nice to receive at least a call or email letting me know it wasn't going to happen. I was told the next date available was almost 2 months away. Very disappointed.
Our go-to for LED bulbs and they did a great job on our insulation too!
