Very friendly staff who takes serious care about food intolerances and does the best whatever needed to realise. Very delicious menu and good knowledge of wines covering a broad variety and price range. WiFi is free, too. Ci vediamo per un aperitivo con gli miei colleghi!
After struggling to find a wine bar that was open, we were lucky enough to happen on Trimani. It's a cosy wine bar that also served food and we loved it. We sat down, ordered some snacks and asked for wine recommendations. The staff were knowledgeable and very friendly, it turns out we were the first foreign tourists they'd had since reopening. With our second glasses of wine they brought some extra little snacks and a cheese plate with cheeses from different parts of Italy. We really enjoyed our visit and we'll gladly return whenever we're next in Rome.
A wonderful wine bar with friendly and knowledgeable staff
Went there on a Tuesday night after buying a few choice bottles from their Enoteca. This place is wonderful. The two gents behind the bar were amazingly helpful. We got the Ham Plate, the italian cheese plate and the salami plate. The sommelier got us a few glasses that paired perfectly with the cheese and the meats. The ham melted on your tongue. The wines were the perfect counterbalances to the salty cheese and the fatty meats . Unreal experience will recommend to anyone going there. Not cheap but cannot say enough about the quality . A truly amazing discovery and education in the world of wine. Go there you will not be disappointed
I would like to thank you for your interesting why I gave only 2 stars. There is one of the best wine lists I've ever seen, but food quality is pretty low. I ordered beef tatare and it was without any spices, just raw meet, tasteless. Salami selection was also disappointing, only two of six of them tasted well. And for the end, hospitality was not so much interesting in giving some recomendations, suggestions or any other reaction about me as a guest. The only thing worth going to your bar is wine list. And that is the only reason why I gave to you 2 stars, because without wines, I do not have anything worthly to say. Hope I will be back and see better situation. Regards, Aleksandra
I think we had their cheapest bottle for 18 EUR... It was delicious though! Also had a mixed cheese plate and some smoked salmon and both tasted great. Doesn't look as fancy as you'd imagine. Service is very good as is the clientel.
Best place in Rome. The bartender is a super knowledgeable sommelier fluent in English. The bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve seen and the place is very comfortable and clean! The sommelier is excellent at suggesting wines you’ll enjoy and even pours a little before serving the glass to make sure you like it. I don’t usually write reviews but I highly recommend this place!
I've been visiting Trimani every time I've been in Rome going back to the early 1990's. For my money, it's the best wine shop in Roma, and you have the benefit of family ownership dating -- literally -- back two centuries. Ask Paolo for any assistance, and you are likely to get a little education at the same time. Also, do yourself a favor and walk around the corner to their wine bar as well. Great place to grab a nosh and some of that wine you've just been oogling.
Wine was good, the pasta with ox tail was all fat and not that great, lasagne had rabbit was okay...service was good and helpful. The menu was short, if your wanting more pasta choices, go else where.
We were really picky clients with lots of questions, but both waitresses were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Amazing wine and great food to go with it
