Waldorf schools offer a developmentally appropriate, experiential approach to inspire life-long learning and enable each student to fully develop their capacities. This is our first year at Waldorf and my 7 YO child couldn’t be happier. He loves building forts, climbing trees, knitting, singing, playing the recorder, jumping rope, listening to fairy tales, drawing, rhymes, tongue-twisters, and public speaking to name a few. I love that all these things that bring him joy are helping him to build strong foundations that will serve him well in the future. Trillium Waldorf nurtures his soul, body, heart, mind in ways that most schools today do not. I’m confident his education is preparing him to become a well rounded individual who is curious, compassionate and empathic, a critical thinker, an ethical decision maker, and a leader.
My children have benefitted greatly from their education and amazing teachers at TrWS. I would recommend anyone check out the school if they are considering independent schools in Guelph.
Our son is in his second year of KG and we have had such a positive experience so far at Trillium Waldorf. The caregivers put such effort into every aspect of care/learning they provide. Children are excepted who ever they may be. Children are given the space to grow and feel comfortable with themselves at their own pace. His KG teachers actively listen to parents and children. They provide a calm, loving environment that fosters growth. We are very happy with our choice to send our child to this school.

Enrolled my son Gustav for Grade 1 best decision ever, wish I'd taken the leap of faith and enrolled for Kindergarten. This school is the idealistic one you see in picture books nnThe school is looking into how to move away from some of the original religious ideas in order to be more inclusive and welcoming for everyone.nnReligious aspect aside, I for one LOVE the spirituality they foster. Everything is carefully arranged to subtly teach the grade 1s to get into their bodies and master movement and self control through play, before they get stuck in their mind 24/7 with modern life. So necessary!
