3.5/5 First time here with friends as they recommended it. Love that they are open late, they give you normal utensils someone else said plastic in their review. They have a huge menu with a variety of options. You don’t spend too long waiting for your food and everything is made fresh. I would say some dishes are better than others. The scrambled egg shrimp rice was tasty and loved by everyone. The squid dish was also well made too. The one dish that was too chewy is the general Tao chicken, therefore don’t recommend it. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you care about the interior of the place, it is definitely run down and older but it has been around for a very long time.
Some of our friends have been wanting us to come to this restaurant for a long time and we finally made it out there with them. The atmosphere is simple. Servers and staff are very friendly. They have plastic on the tables, so when people are done, the staff takes off 1 plastic and voila - the table is clean for the next set of people. The food was not bad, but not amazing. The tea pot was nice to have on the table and it wasn't overly strong nor too weak...but it could have been just a touch hotter. It was a bit too salty for me. My favourite was the General Tao Chicken. The shrimp roll was tasty and dipping sauce was yummy and the shrimp dumplings were good too...the seasoning on them was really good. The skinny noodles had Chicken in it...that was good....which is what I mostly ate. The lobster tasted good and the flavors were good. Overall, it was nice. They were getting busier and busier when we finished around 11pm.
Tremendous has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. Cantonese style Chinese with canadian/American Chinese dishes along with all day dim sum. While it's not as good as they used to be I believe ownership changed around 5 or 6 years ago its still delicious, affordable, and always hits the spot!
We have been coming here for over 20 years, just went for the first time since COVID. It’s completely different than it used to be. Staff used to be kind of rude and food used to be really affordable. Now the staff are really nice and the prices are astronomical for dim sum. My family used to have lunch there for $20-30 and have leftovers. Now, a snack runs us over $60. Nostalgic value, but we won’t be going back, there’s gotta be better options at a fraction of the cost.
Ordered on Uber eats at 10pm. I called the restaurant after I made the order to request utensils since I wasn’t sure if I asked for it or if it comes by default. Person answering the phone was nice and I got my utensils. Huge portion for the black bean beef over egg noodles!! This is authentic black bean beef noodles. Would have preferred it over flat rice noodles but maybe that’s a separate menu item. Delivery to my hotel was about 40 mins, so same as stated time on Uber Eats. General Tso chicken was good too. Although the broccoli seemed like it was barely cooked but I know some ppl like that. Portion size was good too. A bit pricey but so worth it because of portion size and quality. It’s always a gamble to buy Chinese food in case it’s too westernized but this place is legit, I’d bring my Chinese parents here.
We ordered take away the 2nd time, this time was a bit disappointing. Most food are oily and the oil smell not fresh. The beef tenderloin was over cooked and very hard to chew. The beans with minced pork was ok but very oily. We can see the excess oil left in the empty box.
Decent place ! Repeated a few times ! Love the bean sprout fried noodles ! Good food for a decent price ! The food can be inconsistent though ! Typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere lol ! But it’s nice ! Best place ever ? No ! But will repeat as it’s open late !
We've eaten here many times over the years. The food here use to be much better.Food: 3/5
This is a really solid 3/5 restaurant, but it's a sauga meme so it's a 4 for me.Food: 3/5
The food is always exquisite. It’s everything you want an authentic Chinese restaurant to be and best of all it’s open late compared to the others. There’s always great service and the food is always fresh. The price is fair and it’s great if you go in a group and get a variety of dishes, once the bills split up it’s only around $20-25 for a belly full of delicious food. I’ll surely continue coming here in the future.
