The selection is good. However, I'm not impressed with their attention ro health and safety.nnPreviously their cherry tomatoes were rotting on the shelf and buzzing with small flies. I reached out to a produce employee that was working at the time and to the management by email. The same rotting produce was still there with the small flies having spread to other nearby produce.nnI've found a puffed out package of lunch meet that was grey and obviously spoiled.nnRecently there was a bread recall due to a safety issue of small pieces of metal in the bread that our family buys. I reached out to the store multiple times to see if our recent purchase was impacted by the safety recall and received no response. No response to a product safety inquiry... For the safety of our family versus the cost of a loaf a bread, the bread was eventually thrown out.nnThis store is also one of the stores under the Loblaws corporate umbrella that has set up plastic walls and electronic gates treating customers like criminals. The feeling of shopping in that environment isn't a positive one. When compared to other stores including the new Food Basics coming to Ingersoll, there are other grocery options that provide a more welcoming environment and demonstrate a commitment to the safe quality of food being sold to families.nnWhile the selection is good, they've also recently cut out some items that were family favorites leaving only lower quality alternatives that we've had to go to the local Foodland for.
Pretty shameless to claim waste prevention as their reason for freezing almost expired meat to sell at their regular price which is notoriously high for Ingersoll.nMark it down as a discount and they will never be wasted.
The reviews speak for themselves. The amount of expired food on the selves that you guys are selling is off the charts. Like for real check your expiration dates throughly if you shop here. Prices could do better also.
Nearly every time I go into this store I see expired or rotten products. Selling for regular price too. The food waste at this store is absolutely disgusting and beyond any other grocery store I’ve been to. I’ve complained multiple times about this and have not seen any actual changes. It’s terrible that food from this grocery store will sooner sit and rot before being marked down or donated.
To big to be successful and meet the needs of shoppers. Prices are insanely expensive relative to inflation. Fruits and veggies are old, generally mouldy, and have been tinkerer with to save from spoilage. Not a fun place to go.
