This is an amazing place to visit, especially with young kids. Admission is by donation and the rides are free, so the little ones can ride till they drop. The scale model engines are all unique and quite intricate in the case of the steam engine which is actually steam powered. Be sure to check the website as they only open to the public a few days per year.
Always a good time. Many trains going today. Great place to take kids young and old. Admission is by donation, so be generous to ensure others will get to enjoy this gem.
Perfect family outing! This volunteer-run railway is a great place for kids who love trains as well as anyone who enjoys short rides through the woods. There are several trains running at the same time so there's rarely a long wait and there are plenty of picnic tables around the property for those who want to bring a lunch. Parking directly beside the area is hard so I'd suggest parking slightly before entry, next to the water treatment plant.
We almost missed it and when we arrived they were closed for the season, but they made one ride for my nephew and that I will be forever grateful. no sad 5 year old

This is one of Nova Scotia's best kept secrets! Completely run by volunteers! The children and adults had had a blast!
Kids love visiting here. Parking can be difficult on busy days like opening day, narrow road going in. Don't let that dissuade you. It's very well kept up by donations. Birthday parties seem to be a popular thing here, there is a great space for that. Plenty of seating.
This has always been a great spot to take our grand child, he enjoys the rides
A wonderful place to take your children. They normally are quite busy because it's a popular place to go but that's okay. Enjoy a ride around the tracks on the trains with your children and then have a lovely picnic in the shade with the provided picnic benches.
Worth the trip to this little spot. We go as frequently as time allows and our child loves it. It's a great place to bring a little picnic and spend a few hours riding the trains. Admission is by donation and they do private birthday parties too.
