If travelling overnight either book a room or prepare to bring lots of blankets and pillows, the chairs don’t recline much for sleeping making it difficult for some, I noticed a lot of people brought small mattresses and would find any flat surfaces to set up and sleep there for the ride so that’s an option if you don’t want to pay for a room. The actual boat is fairly old, there is a theatre that plays movies in french, there aren’t any convenient plugs that I could find for charging phones or devices so be prepared for that. There is a quiet lounge where they turn the lights off for sleeping, but also other areas like a cafeteria, bar and small gift shop as well as the deck on top with very pretty views as you’re departing. The staff is mostly all french but can usually understand some English without too much of a problem.
Use this ferry service at your own risk. I was trapped on this boat for 27 hours.nWe were not provided food or water. We had to pay for everything and sleep in chairs. Very little communication regarding what was happening. Entire situation was handled very unprofessionally and with very little sensitivity and no compensation. You can read about it on the news. Lots of room, like a mini cruise ship... Cafeteria, lounge, music, movie theater...
Great service. If you want a room, send one person to the door right away and run upstairs to the cashier while the cars are still loading. You avoid the lines and the room is only $40 for 5 hrs. Bed and shower included.
