Get what you pay for.nnCame here on vacation with my partner I didn’t hate the hotel but, it wasn’t a 5 star place if you know what I’m saying.nnI like that it’s extremely affordable especially when staying extended periods of time.nnElevators are broken which k asked to make sure we get main floor as I would not be able to do the stairs.nnPool was closed for renovations which made me sad because I wanted a hotel with a pool. It was posted as closed but I was kinda hoping by the time I got there it would be open.nnBreakfast is okay very basic not much selection at all but at least there is free breakfast so I’m very thankful for that. Thank you guys.nnMy room had stains on the sheets which is really gross and a red flag, bed was very uncomfortable and very old looking.nnAlso I was struggling sleeping you can hear the neighbours above and side to side and it was very annoying to rest, had to run the ac to be able to sleep through it. Also had to constantly switch from heat to ac because the room was going hot/cold/stuffy.nnOther than that again it’s a decent hotel for the price if you want to stay in Edmonton extended periods of time.
I recently stayed at Travelodge by Wyndham Edmonton South, and my experience was average overall. The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and major roads. The staff were friendly and check-in was quick and hassle-free.nnThe room was decent for the price, with comfortable beds and basic amenities like a microwave, mini-fridge, and free Wi-Fi. However, the property is noticeably dated and could benefit from renovations. Some areas of the hotel and rooms showed signs of wear, and cleanliness could be improved.nnThe complimentary breakfast was simple but adequate for a quick start to the day. If you're looking for an affordable place to stay for a short visit, this hotel offers reasonable value, but don't expect luxury or modern facilities. Overall, it's a budget-friendly option that meets basic needs, though there is room for improvement.
Overall, the hotel was reasonably clean, and the breakfast was decent. However, it seems like the elevator is almost always out of service. We were told it was broken during our stay, but based on other reviews, this appears to be an ongoing issue rather than a temporary one.nnIf you plan to stay here, be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the stairs, as there’s a good chance the elevator won’t be working.
Stayed here last year as a cheaper option for a convention at the Wyndham next door and had a pleasant experience, however this year it has drastically declined. It is still a great price for the area with lots of food options around but it is now *too* cheap. This time the pool was still broken, the elevators were down and have been for over a month, windows leaked during rainstorms, and a LARGE mold spot was under the toilet in the bathroom. The only really great parts here were solid air conditioning and a comfy bed, but it is now a health risk to stay here. I had also recommended this spot to multiple friends for the same event, and they had had various issues as well like a broken fridge and much less efficient AC. Disappointed to say I will not be returning next time without a massive renovation or rebuild.
Rooms are dated, with some rough looking patches, bed comfortable.nStuffy room. Curtains kind of disheveled. Location easy to access with walkable services. Italian restaurant just a walk out the door. Close to Whitemud. Staff friendly and helpful
