Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional ServicennWoodstock Transit has been one of the worst public transit experiences I’ve had. Some drivers are openly rude, dismissive, and treat passengers very differently depending on who they are. The contrast is obvious—polite and friendly to certain people, but cold, impatient, or outright disrespectful to others. It honestly feels discriminatory at times.nnTransfers are another major issue. Drivers often do not coordinate with other buses at the terminal, even when passengers clearly need a transfer. This results in people missing connections and being stranded, especially in bad weather. When questioned, the response is usually rude or careless, as if helping passengers is an inconvenience.nnCustomer service and professionalism are seriously lacking. Basic courtesy, clear communication, and equal treatment should be the bare minimum for a public service, yet Woodstock Transit repeatedly fails at this.nnThis system desperately needs better training, accountability, and monitoring of driver behavior. Public transit should make people feel safe and respected—not ignored, judged, or mistreated.
The pathetic bus service any city could have. You have to wait for 30 minutes to get a bus and if you are late by a minute to the stop you have no way to get an update if the bus is yet to come or already passed the stop and if you got late by a minute and the driver even after seeing you running towards the bus stop will rush the bus and won't even care to wait for a few seconds.nI have to take a bus for my work every day and every single day bus arrives 10-15 minutes late. Even after that 40 min cycle in rush period buses arrive late on the stop.nWhy to spend your money on monthly bus passes If you have to pay for your cab everyday??????
I take the number 6 bus going to the depot often the bus is late and I have to take a $14 cab to work or by the time I get to the bus depot to change buses the other buses have left. I can't afford this it's ridiculous they're supposed to be there to help you not make your life more difficult.
I have to pay 16 dollars for a uber pr day , buses should run at least 11 pm in weekdays .
I was running as fast I could in the freezing rain to transit, with only a minute left the bus I need starts to pass me, so I start frantically yelling and waving my arms begging to be taken out of the cold rain after a chiropractor appointment. Because of this I’m in a marginal amount of pain as well when she looks directly at me and shakes her head no then stops at the end of the street. So I started running thinking maybe she had a change of heart but no, as soon as I got close she drove away again leaving me further from transit in pain in wet, cold rain. I’ve had nothing but good experiences minus some sketchy drivers but I feel like this was somebodies bad day being taken out on me and I don’t find that fair at all. I did my best to be there on time I understand I am owed nothing but if I weren’t a teenage boy I have high suspicion the bus would have stopped to pick me up in these conditions. I have seen people run and stop a bus where no stop is close and in perfect weather and almost always the driver obliges so I was beyond confused and upset not because perhaps she missed me but because she saw me and made a conscious choice to leave me there and had the audacity to tell me no she won’t pick me up with the shake of her head. Then when she finally arrived at transit 30 mins later she was visually upset I was there idk if it was with her self or with what I might have said but she was not happy to see me return and ignored me completely when I got on. I’m quite disappointed as I’m quite friendly and my parents are good friends with a few drivers so it was quite upsetting to see such an upsetting event unfold with who are usually the happiest people I know in woodstock. I know repercussions will not come of it nor do I really want that but she was a middle aged white blonde haired woman with glasses driving the 1 bus from at least 12-1 on October 20th, 2022
