Ownership update... Grafton Tower Storage is under new ownership/management as of April 2017.

I am very dissatisfied with Tower Storage owner Rich. If you are thinking of doing business with this gentleman I would be very cautious. I rented a unit from March 2008 through the end of April 2011. That is $58 a month which totals $2,146.00 (37 months). During this time I was only late with one payment due to a family emergency. I paid the $30 late fee. When I moved out on Saturday April 30th I cleaned out the unit, swept it and I left it in perfect condition, no damage or anything. I was not a 100% sure I was going to be able to have all my belongs moved out by May 1st so I being honest paid for the month of May. We finished moving out about 10pm, they have cameras there so they can check that if they want. So the next day was Sunday and the office was not opened, so first thing Monday morning I called tower storage and notified them I moved out April 30th and would like my refund for May. Linda at the office said they would have a check for me. Today May 17th I received a call from Rich the owner and he told me I didn’t notify anyone I moved out until Monday May 2nd and there for I would not be receiving my $58 from May. He told me someone was in the Grafton office from 9-1pm on Saturday so I could have let them know I moved out that day. The month of May payment is not due until the 5th and they give you until the 10th to get your stuff out, so I am being punished for being honest. So all you storage units renters out there who rent from Tower Storage DO NOT pay on time or ahead it will bite you in the end. Just make sure when you move out to have all your stuff out by the 5th and do not pay for that month. I even offered to have them keep the two days in May since I didn’t notify them until May 2 but no Rich who is greedy and very unprofessional is keeping the $58. And this really isn’t about the $58 – it sure as heck is going to make or break me it is more about the principal of the fact that he is making $58 and the unit is empty. If you are thinking of buying Tower Storage just be very cautious of Rich!! And a funny thing is Rich called me from a restricted number makes you wonder why he doesn’t want people to have his number. Very dishonest!!
