I honestly do not recommend going for the free dental hygiene services here because it involves too many appointments — sometimes even 7 to 8 sessions. I truly appreciate that the students are learning, but I didn’t expect the process to take this long. Later on, it became very difficult for me to manage the appointments. I started in the summer, and it ended up extending into the fall.nnIt takes up a lot of time, and personally, I felt it wasn’t worth it. When I go to a regular dentist, everything is usually done in one visit, which is much more convenient. To be a volunteer for this program, it’s better suited for someone who is not a student or a working professional, because it requires a big time commitment.nnThe college needs to work on the system to encourage participation also respecting the time line.
Really good service. Care about patients alot and how they doing downside is all the signatures u need to sign. They are students but future dental hygienists good alternative for a fraction of the cost if u want teeth cleaned. I personally had the grace of having Aariel and Abby as my hygenists took great care of me ensuring i was comfortable and theres no issues or complaints. I recommend those 2
I know it might be a little early to leave a review since I’ve only been at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries for two weeks, but so far everything has been amazing. The instructors and staff have all been incredibly kind, respectful, and genuinely supportive. They go out of their way to make sure the material is delivered clearly and effectively, and they really try to help students succeed.nWhen I was in the process of applying, I almost changed my mind after reading the Google reviews. Many of them were negative, and it honestly discouraged me. But I’m so glad I decided to move forward and apply. Yes, the tuition is a bit higher than at some other schools, but based on my experience so far, I truly believe it’s worth it.nI’m not a staff member or instructor just a regular student who also happens to be a Local Guide. I’m writing this review because I think it’s important that prospective students hear from real people with genuine experiences. I’m not gaining anything from this review, other than the hope that it helps someone who is currently deciding whether to apply.nOne thing to consider is that this is an accelerated program, which naturally comes with a lot of pressure and stress. I believe that much of the frustration in other reviews might come from personal experiences, where people felt overwhelmed and in high-stress environments like this, emotions can run high. That doesn’t necessarily mean the program or the staff are at fault.nSo if you’re thinking about applying I’d say go for it, but go in knowing it will be intense and demanding. For me, it’s been a great decision, and I’m excited to continue the journey here.
They don’t clean your teeth until after weeks of waiting. I do not recommend. Only good if you have hours and weeks to wait and get cleaned partially by a student. Also 8$ for parking each time you go.
To all drivers:nnPlease take the time to drop off passengers properly without blocking the driveway or parking irresponsibly. Every morning at Toronto College 28 Vanley Crescent, there are frequent arguments due to drivers stopping directly at the front door, despite ample space available nearby for drop-offs. This behavior creates congestion, with some drivers becoming impatient and rushing, as seen in the video where one driver nearly collided with another vehicle. Additionally, some drivers park across the lines of parking spaces, as shown in the photo, causing further inconvenience and reducing available spots for others.nnLet’s work together to ensure safe and efficient drop-offs for everyone. Thank you.
