Definitely late on this review as it happened end of August 2022, but the Cider Festival was back for the first time in years! In 2022 it was hosted at the Inukshuk Park by Lakeshore in downtown Toronto. The event was full of plenty of sponsors including Bet99 who had a basketball hoop/prize giveaway, Dr. Oetker's with free pizza, and Tokyo Smoke with a prize wheel. The festival occurred over the last weekend in August with tickets/tokens available for purchase at the front desk, and each of the Cider Stands would exchange the tickets/tokens for delicious cider! You had your regular Cider's there you'd see at most restauraunts ie. Strongbow but companies like Lone Tree had their cascade of flavors available to try out. Cider goes down so much smoother than beer IMHO, and it made for an amazing night since the drinks could flow and go down so much easier with fruity and sweet/sour tastes depending on where you tried. Overall, a well organized event with fantastic staff. There was a literal hall of outdoor portapotties with hand washing stations, water-refill stations and of course plenty of seating to both eat and drink the night away. There were also multiple stages with live music, and the first night we got to enjoy Wing Night The Band who Jesse Laird on vocals, singing and playing hits from the 90s/early 2000s with a modern live take. Definitely looking forward to next year!
This was my first year attending and I'm already excited for next year. I've been to a lot of festivals this summer but this one definitely took the cake. Everything ran so smoothly! From being warmly greeted by the security guards and volunteers, being able to bring our own water bottles and helping ourselves to water stations which was a rarity this summer!. All of the cider vendors were incredibly nice and friendly and the crowd itself was so chill! The DJ spinning 90s tunes absolutely killed it! Great time, great fun. Don't miss out!
BEST PARTY TO END THE SUMMER: Been coming here for the past 5 years since the festival's inception! Chill vibez and great atsmophere whether you come for day drinking or to rage at night! The ciders are awesome too and great selection! I really enjoy that the owners of the cideries are also there and super friendly! I know the organizers and I know they put in painstaking effort and crazy hous to make this the best possible experience for everyone!
So happy that this event retuned. Did not disappoint, was just as good, if not better than all other years. Value of drink tickets surpassed expectations, selection of ciders outstanding and the entertainment - 90s dance party - brought me back to the good old days. Had so much fun!
Wow! The best spot with the waterfront and cool breeze just added value to the Festival. The entire festival was meticulously planned for any eventuality. The vendors were super cool and the variety of stalls were outstanding. It was fun fun fun all along. Sad to think that it had come to the end. Way to go Toronto Cider Festival One of the best events of the year! with the best of ciders food music and awesome guests!!
We attended in 2018 and 2019 and prefer original venue. Vast majority of ciders were served from cans and not draft. There appeared to be far fewer cider vendors this year 25 than previous years. We also preferred country music night to 90s R and B though performers were very good.
We had a blast there this year! Missed it since Covid! Well planned, people were amazing and the entertainment is always superb! Also, the drinks were *chefs kiss!* can’t wait until next year! Thanks guys!
As always, a great time!! Staff and volunteers go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. A great selection of ciders from Cideries that really care about their craft. Music and food fantastic as well. Highly recommend the VIP experience. First year we have tried that and we will be back next year!
This was one of the best alcohol related festivals that I’ve been to. It was an amazing experience between the drinks, food, music, experiences and freebies! I would definitely recommend this festival to any looking to have a great time and I plan on returning next year!
Great location by the Lake. There were lots of things to do at the festival….play games, have fun at the photo booth, try different foods from the food trucks or just chill listening to the DJ and live entertainment. Of course being able to try cider whether new or a classic is a great way to spend the day with friends. The non cider drinkers also had options available for them. It was great to be back!
