I've been on the search for a good poké place near me and I think I've found the one.nnI kind of like how their poke bowls are set toppings vs the places where you choose your own toppings because they have the toppings and portions perfectly on point.nnI recommend the Toro Toro poke. I have yet to try their sushi but it looks good.nnI think their staff can be a bit unfriendly but it doesn't matter to me because this is more of a grab and go kind of place.nnGlad I stumbled across this place -- it's my new go-to.
Toro Toro Sushi and Poke in Vaughan is highly praised for its innovative and flavorful sushi and poke offerings. The restaurant has a modern, sleek interior, making it a pleasant spot for both dine-in and takeout experiences.nnCustomers particularly enjoy dishes like the Forbidden Roll, Lobster Tower, and various poke bowls, noting the high quality and freshness of the ingredients. The sushi is beautifully presented, and although some reviewers find the prices a bit high, they generally agree that the quality justifies the cost.nnDespite the busy atmosphere, especially during peak times, the service is generally quick, though it can occasionally be less friendly due to the rush. Most reviewers recommend Toro Toro for its unique flavors and well-portioned dishes, particularly the sushi taster for two, which is a popular choice
We discovered this gem about 2 months ago and have already ordered from them 7 times. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. So many unique creations, beautifully presented with a very expansive menu so you'll never get bored eating there. We love sushi and poke bowls and these guys do both so very well, not to mention the tacos and burritos, highly recommended!
Great sushi, tastes very fresh. Price is reasonable. The delivery of the food the box, the wasabi side, and ginger was very aesthetically pleasing. Plenty of seating as well. The sushi chef's were very fast and effective. I will definitely come back here again. it was unfortunate to find out that they no longer have the lobster roll with gold flakes. Last time i tried it that was definitely my favourite. Luckily, they have another roll that is similar in the creation, excited to find out what they come up with!
This place is similar to Sushi Shop but with fewer varieties. I was quite annoyed by the box packaging; the aburi sushi pieces couldn't hold themselves together and fell apart easily when I tried to pick them up with chopsticks. I don't understand why they use paper boxes even for dine-in--it's not environmentally friendly.nnThe sushi was okay, but not impressive. We tried the Forbidden Roll, Aburi Maguro Oshi, and Classic Poke Bowl. The seaweed was rubbery, and the rice seemed like regular rice with a touch of rice vinegar. The poke bowl was overwhelmed by sauce; it felt like we were eating a bowl of sauce rather than ingredients.nnThe booth was pretty dirty with unclean tables and grease on the seats, but they provided Lysol so we used it to clean our seating area.nnOverall, I wouldn't recommend it. The box experience itself was a negative dining experience--imagine the frustration of trying to pick up a piece of sushi and having it fall apart.nnI still prefer Sushi Shop.nnFood quality, creativity, consistency - 2.5/5nDrinks quality, variety - NA/5nAmbience interior design, cleanliness - 2.5/5nService courtesy, knowledge, timeliness - 3/5nValue quality vs. price - 3/5nnOVERALL - 2.75
