Went in last week thinking it was Mr.Felafel, but we were totally caught offguard when we saw the renovations. The young man at the cash told us that the restaurant's owners had changed. This made us skeptical as it's always difficult to try new restaurants. He was so kind, he let us sample the meat before purchasing just so we get an idea of the taste. He walked us through the menu & we ended up getting a tornadotheir signature spicy chicken on pita and let me tell you, I have been craving it all week. It reminded me of the shawarma's that I used to get back in the day at a place called B sweet. Best sandwich I've had in Montreal! I definitely recommend and will be returning!
It was my first time, I got recommend by a friend of mine. I went with my family and enjoyed really tasty sandwiches and an amazing plate of mix shawarma. In my opinion, it gives all the other similar places a run for their money. You should taste it and I can promise you won't regret it. Props to the really kind man serving us the delicious food! Keep hustling and don't let anyone dethrone the Tornado king!
I was in the area and this place caught my eye. I checked the rating and decided to give it a try, but the food didn’t live up to the rating. I think they are more known for their wraps but I decided to get their plate. The chicken was delicious, the potatoes looked a bit on the undercooked side a bit soggy, they rice were alright, and unfortunately I didn’t taste the cold slaw because it had a light brown/orange hair strand; lost my appetite.
As a fan of Lebanese food and have tasted amir, Basha, Boustan etc. I can definitely say this is one of my favorite new restaurants that has opened in the west island. The food is excellent, not too over spiced it just taste perfect. The person who was working on Wednesday evening December 30st is a great guy and makes sure you are happy. I will definitely be back. Cheers,
This place is AMAZING! for Lebanese food I've always gone with Boustans... But let me tell you, after one bite of this food I was hooked. I'll definitely be back to try more of their plates! Highly recommend!
Picked up food here today for the first time, pleasantly impressed. They add a third meat option for the shawarmas, which they coin as their unique red chicken. Happy to see they allow salad substitutions without the hassle of an upcharge. Enjoyed it, will support them again in the future.
Easily the best Lebanese food I’ve ever had on the West Island, the Shish taouk and the beef shawarma are so tender with a generous portion of rice and spiced French fried and salad this place can’t be beat. I’m sorry basha. This guy really knows what he’s doing!
For a long time I thought Boustan had the best shawarmas in Montreal - I used to go there like 4 times a week so I know what I'm talking about. Tornade Snack is wayyyy better. Great balance of ingredients and flavours, and the meat is so juicy. I can eat one of these things in 5 minutes and still function, no "shawarma hangover" from this place. Highly recommend.
Pleasantly surprised. A lot of good middle eastern joints in West Island, this one brings a new twist with its various dishes and flavours. Would definitely recommend to anyone to at least try it out.
Forget all the other libanese place, this is one is the most authentic and flavourfull i ever had! Gotta try the Tornade Chicken pyta with the spicy hummus it's my fav and the service is amazing
