Tone Tai Supermarket

Oct.6th on the way to my friend's, I passed by this supermarket and bought a watermelon. I opened it on Oct.10th with totally spoiled inside. Due to live 1 hour away from this location, I was not able to return or exchange it right away, but I took few pictures immediately with date Oct.10th,2022 and time automatically recorded by iPhone, also contact the market for solution, but no body answer. Finally, I have chance pass by this market today. I show the manager receipt , dated pictures and asking for solution, but he doesn’t even take a look with very rude attitude. He and his customer service team told me that I should bring and exchange the spoiled watermelon within 7 days regardless the driving distance, and I should know that this is not the season for watermelon, so spoiled is very normal. If I live far away from the market, then I should not buy food there and more rude attitude…. I told them that this is not the good attitude to treat customers, but the manager told me that he didn’t really care. Who would eat this spoiled watermelon? Who would drive 1 hour just for return this watermelon? It seems that they are not very welcome and appreciated customers shop there, and since the services is so bad, how to expect that they will have good food quality? There are plenty markets in Ontario with good quality and services, why choose the super bad one? I will never go there again.

Has 9 aisles but on a friday evening they open up two check-out counter only as usual. Waited for 15 mins none moving. What's the point having other counters then lmfao

Worst service I ever experienced. I visited the market and made payment with my debit card. On the screen it's approved on my end so I removed my debit card. The lady in the counter told me it is still processing so asked me to wait. I waited more than 20 minutes and I also show my app that payment went through. However, they treated as theft and they didn't let me go. After argument I gave them my phone number and I can escape from that place. They also tried to over charge the meat price. If I didn't mention, they weren't correct the price of the meat. Worst place with Worst experienced. I am currently looking for law action as well.

I used to buy most of my fruits and vegetables from this store about $100-150 a week. I noticed that this store has a very bad return policy. I bought a small basket about $3 from this store about two weeks ago and haven't used it at all. Even the basket label is attached. But the customer service person said that she will not return, because it is more than 7 days. I think 7 days to return a new basket is not fair. Unfortunately, there was no other responsible person there. I will never return to this store. I think there are many better stores in Canada than here.

Quite surprised by this place to be honest. Consistently fresh vegetables and a great meat counter with a wide variety of fresh cuts at great prices, my go to spot for Pork Belly as I’ve found it’s the best around. I recently tried the Center cut Pork Spare Ribs and they were awesome too, only $8 for 2 lengthy racks

If you are going there to get customer service you won't get it. Most of the staff ignore you when you ask them a question. But they do carry quite a bit of ethnic foods and their veggies and fruit are fresh and it's cheaper than most grocery stores.

I’ve never been to a supermarket whose staff/cashier was this rude. Very unprofessional and inpatient when I was about to check out. The cashier was rushing to end her shift and go home, hence she was throwing my stuff. She also refused to break the loonie change for me to get a cart. I will never go back to this place ever.

Rude cashier,if you want me to be honest. I said credit card she set up for debit so I tapped and it didn't work out, I told her credit card, she set up for credit card she said tap tap tap this machine needs time to be ready and she yelled at me tap. She thinks I am just as stupid as she is.

This is a very large, very well hidden grocery store inside the Peanut Plaza complex. There's a great variety of Asian products, in extreme detail, also some other cultural ingredients like latinamerican. Meat shop and fresh fish market inside too! The produce section is quite large with very fresh items. There's a good distribution of the items but the visual is overwhelming. I try to imitate certain shoppers to test new products. The store is generally clean with the odd smell here and there but nothing too offensive, overall well kept. The downside is there are not enough lanes open to pay so big lineups. The prices seem quite fair.

Their fruit and vegetables are good, but the only issue as always rud cashier and staff. Only 3 cashier with big line up. I asked they don't care.
