Toma La

Food is good - but...ordered from them after checking out their facebook page, everything look really good and reasonably priced. We ordered the BBQ chicken - the price on the menu said $17 - when we picked up the chicken the girl at the counter told us the total was $27! When we told her the site say $17 she said "yea - the owner recently increased the price." Which I understand - inflation and all - but an increase of $10 and to not change your menus online is very deceiving to the customer. Not a good first experience.

I placed an order online for pick up. When I got there, the girl on cash explained that they did not hear the order come through and therefore, hadn’t accepted it yet. However, they were able to make my order in 15-20 minutes so I didn’t have to wait too long. The girl on the cash wish I knew her name also gave me two free desserts for my wait. Super friendly and fast service and the food was great! Thanks again

Very disappointed this time. Smaller containers = less food, but higher cost. About 6 to 7 potatoes compared to the generous amount in the past. Chicken was a bit dry too. Lesson learned.

Came in for a meal after realizing the Broadway Diner was incredibly full. We were quickly greeted by our waitress and given a few minutes to go over the menu. The food was flavorful and fresh, and our server was friendly and attentive. What really made the meal for my wife and I was the Portuguese tart. All in all, it was a wonderful first visit and we'll be coming back whenever we're in Hamilton.

3 young girls that have 0 idea what’s going on working here. No management or adults in sight to deal with costumers properly . 8pm on a Monday and they have 0 chicken . I order sandwiches instead , and after waiting for almost 10 mins they tell me they have no bread .am I dreaming ?! Is this really how a business is ran?! Absolutely embarrassing and Garbage costumer service. Wasted so much of my time . Was gonna tip $100 for Christmas time but instead I was given the biggest joke excuse of costumer service I’ve ever experienced. Will be spreading the word and won’t ever go near this terrible establishment again. Thanks for wasting my time .

Been going on to Toma La for now almost a year. The food is delicious and always consistent! Staff welcome you in and always have a smile. Would recommend to others whether dining in or take out. They also provide catering.

A very efficient family owned business, they are extremely friendly and polite and the food was off the charts. I had a bifana sandwich and it was amazing. All my picky eaters loved their food, the Toma La poutine was a huge hit! Thanks Toma LA, keep up the great work!

Always heard good thing about the place, finally got to experience it for myself. Everything was grilled to perfect! The menu board was not easy to read but the staff were very helpful and friendly. I had one of the Specialsso not on the menu which was a porkchop and rib dinner, definitely check out the specials board. Food was great, atmosphere was good and the smell when you walk in is mouthwatering. If nothing else try the dessert cups! I had an oreo dessert that was amazing and fitting to a great flame grilled meal.

2023/05/02- order a chicken with 2 sides, rice and potatoes. I got home and I realized that I was given potatoes and 1/2 of the container of fries. I called and explained the issue I was told "the fries were full", I replied "I can send you a picture! I didn't know that Tomala was so cheap on servicing customers because I could have order from another location! After all the discussion, nothing was said about the rice and that a manager will contact me. Still waiting 2023/05/03 afternoon. I guess is not important enough. I spent $70 for 2 chickens and 2 sides that is not what I order or what was supposed to be. Very disappointed on the service at this location. My advise is check your order before leaving this location!! Or order at the Portuguese location in Barton and Victoria called Cantinho!

Our experience at the restaurant was terrible. The witness was so rude, when we had a hard time understanding her she would roll her eyes..She wasn't Portuguese..We've had their take out & it is so much better. We will not be going ack to that location. Upper James & Rymal Rd..
