I had the yuzu shio ramen. Ramen is my comfort food whe not feeling 100%. The soft flavors of the soup hit my stomach the right away leaving all of us happier than when we first walked in. Fairly busy for a weekday but no where near busy like the weekends. With a little, we can't come on weekends as we are a slow eater so appreciate the calmness during the weekdays.
Always wanted to try this place and thank god I just arrived in perfect timing and only had to wait 10-15 mins. The line up got much longer right after I arrived. I ordered the spicy Gomma ramen with pork charshu. And my friend ordered the black ramen. They were both very delicious and one of the best ramen place in edmonton. Definitely highly recommended. They only serve limited bowl of soup. There were many times they sold out.
Beautiful restaurant. Very clean staff. This is the 12th ramen place I have visited in edmonton.nnI will say they have some sauces sitting at room temp on their line dated on the 16th, which is 6 days ago. Which I get a bit nervous about.nnService was great, fast for being a full house.nAtmosphere is awesome.nnRamen was... underwhelming. The tonkotsu broth doesn't hit too hard and is a bit subtle. The chashu was a bit dry as well, even soaking in the ramen.nnThe black garlic flavor did not come in the ramen very strong. The noodles and the egg were good though. I wasn't prepared to pay cash or debit which is my mistake and they let me e transfer so that deserves a good tip in my opinion. I would still recommend this place but it probably is sitting around 5th or 6th place for best Ramen in the city for me at least
Rich and delicious without being too heavy. The pork chasu with the Tokyo tonkotsu was great and the pieces were big but the fat was a little tough. The ramen noodles themselves had the perfect amount of bite. We didn’t catch our servers name but she was awesome! Can’t wait to return.nnFYI if you need a take out container it’s a $1 charge. Very fair but I’d recommend bringing your own :
Everything about this place is the greatest. The food is the best, the staff is awesome… it’s my favourite place to eat by far.nnI didn’t know what spicy goma was until a year ago. I’m pretty sure translated to English means “greatest food on the planet”, but what do I know. I’m no scientist.
