Definitely not your average grilled cheese sandwich! If you're looking for a place that hits the spot, with a homemade touch, you gotta try Toasty Cheese! Staff was friendly and made my order how I asked for it. The cheese was fantastic, but seeing that there was much more than cheese alone made me happy. I would definitely like to come back again!
Loved the food, super friendly service, convenient location, all in all a wonderful spot. Got two sandwiches, Scott and Great Dane. Both were delicious! Side of fries and a desert served with caramel and chocolate. Highly recommend. Just to forewarn you, these sandwiches are greasy!
The problem today emphasis on today is that their customer service was garbage. I partook four times in their food truck and was highly satisfied with the food. Unfortunately, I was treated with indifference and annoyance here. The restaurant brought me great hope that I could enjoy their offerings on a regular basis. Despite the slightly higher price point, I was willing to invest in local business and hopefully grow their business. I ordered for both me and my two kids. They did not have any more soup, which would be fine, but was I was brushed off and I offered no other option but their fries. The food took over 15 minutes to arrive. If you have "hangry" kids at 7:15 PM, you know that time is of the essence. Food-wise, the sandwiches we're good, though the fries were soggy and sad. Speaking of the fries, all of their ketchup bottles the location is not expansive - it's easy to scan the entire restaurant were completely - or more than half - empty. The cost for a regular sandwich is especially high, considering you do not get fries or a drink. It's almost a better option to go off the kids menu exclusively. I have more convenient and affordable options to opt for my meals. I suggest alternatives, unless you are hankering for a Toasty Cheese experience. But be warned that the wait and impersonal experience of their often-busy food truck only grows exponentially when visiting their physical location. By the way, my six year older recognized that I spent this entire time writing this overly wordy review and have not yet received our order. Let that be a warning in and of itself.
My boyfriend and I decided to try some place new today, and let me tell you - this place was by far the best first-time experience we have had at a restaurant! Our food was made to order and was crafted with care. I ordered a build-your-own. The bread-to-inside ratio was great, and the tomato bisque paired so well. I also tried the garlic aioli sauce, and holy heck it all just melted in my mouth. My boyfriend got the Michelangelo I had to take a bite and was so toasted yet juicy. The sandwiches themselves will fill you up, but we also got the loaded fries; pair it all with a Coke and you’re good to go! This place is better than Cheesies, for sure.
Truck was at Greenwood Elementary in Woodstock. Parent/Teacher conferences so was a perfect opportunity for hard working teachers and staff and parents! to grab something on a busy night. I had the Michaelangelo Italian beef panini along with the cheese curds. Not the heathiest meal but I'll die happy. Wife had the Great Dane grilled cheese w/ applewood bacon and was a hit there as well. If you see the truck, do yourself a favor and stop.
Yum, soooo good. We found the food truck at Imperial Oak a few weekends back. So very good. Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese and spicy fries.
Delicious Food! My wife and I always order the chicken sandwich, and it is so flavorful and it comes with a huge side of fries. We also love their Coleslaw which has just the right amount of creaminess. The restaurant is not very big, therefore when it is busy you will have to wait in line. But we love the atmosphere and the concept!
The south of the boarder sandwich is the best sandwich I have ever had, and I do not say that lightly! It is absolute perfection
1st time here and I loved it, fresh ingredients, lots of cheese what's not to love? Prices are a little high but you get a big portion. I had the Scott's south of the boarder and it was delicious. My husband had the Ragin Reagan and it was yummy too it would have been better if he added chicken. Will definitely be back here
The food here is amazing... A little bit pricy, but it is totally worth it. As simple as it is, I love grilled cheese and have never been to a place like this before. It is as perfect as I could have imagined, great variety and the ability to build your own gives you all the freedom you need to make your sandwich exactly how you want it. Huge variety of ingredients, and the fries are delicious too. I will definitely be coming back regularly since I only work 5 minutes away. GO HERE AND GIVE IT A TRY!!
