An unpretentious spot with great food, big portions, friendly service, and prices that don't bite. We got a Philly Steak 4 eggs omelette and Bhurji Chicken Skillet. We were a bit apprehensive about ordering a breakfast item with non-traditional ingredients, masala spices and jalapeno peppers in this case, but it turned out phenomenal! Definitely recommend. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options Parking: There is street parking available
All I can say is AMAZING! If you are in the Cookstown area, highly recommend stopping by Toast Homestyle for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, you will not be disappointed! Amazing menu with so much variety to choose from, great specials, HUGE portions and seriously just really good food and VERY friendly service! High recommend! *Note Burger Patties are homemade and melt in your mouth!
What a great little breakfast spot in Cookstown! Just happened to be driving into Alliston and passed by this restaurant. 3 OPP officers happened to be dining here so we figured it had to be good! My wife had the vegetarian Omlette and she said it was so flavourful! I had the breakfast poutine with hollandaise and topped with Sunnyside eggs! So delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Excellent dinner in cookstown, the meals are always fresh and the chef makes everything himself. If you’re looking for a home cooked meal that won’t disappoint, this is your spot. Take out or dine in is always amazing
Absolutely love this place! Our first time and will definitely being making this our go to from now on. We were a party of 6 and the service was amazing thanks to our wonderful waitress’ Caitlin and Teresa. Prices were very reasonable and there was an abundant selection of choices. I've visited with a group of 8 three times now, and it's a 5 star review for me each visit. - Fast and attentive service - Great value for the amount and quality of food eg. home fries are actually crispy, pancakes have a good texture, etc - Friendly, welcoming and patient owner/chef/server 4 young kids practicing their ordering skills Our kids love this place so much they ask us to go every time we visit family in the area. There's a playground and library nearby too; PSA for those with small humans. To the owner/chef/server of Toast: sir you are amazing at what you do. Thank you for the warm and yummy service!
Very few restaurants truly live up to their high rating. This one exceeded it. 4.8 at the time of writing. This is a 5 star breakfast joint. This place was by far the best breakfast I have eaten in many years. Everything cooked to perfection. Prices in my opinion are exactly what I would expect to pay for the quality of food and service. I will be back any time I'm in the area. Next time hopefully for lunch.
A great little gem of a diner!! Try any of the skillets. They come to the table REALLY sizzling! Opt for the free homemade jam option too! Be warned,tho, this is not high brow and pretentious it is just a great old style diner with outstanding blue collar food. If you're into it, you'll love it!Food: 5/5
