The food was so good. If you're used to the normal Chinese restaurant food in the Detroit area, you'll be impressed. Obviously, being next to the university requires it to make food to the level that will satisfy the Chinese student population. Most of the 30 or so restaurant guests were Chinese. TK WU does a great job. Service was good. Presentation was good. Definitely recommend. I wish they were closer to home. I'm so tired of Chinese food that all tastes the same no matter what you order.
This place is a nice hidden gem! You will find a good variety of authentic Chinese cuisines. The staff is nice and they don’t ignore you even in rush hours! No tricks just good food.
It just doesn’t get any better than TK WU! Great chef, owner, staff, portions, prices, and flavors. Best of all, consistency!
I love this place. While it is a lot smaller than a lot of other places Ann Arbor has to offer, it is a solid pick for anyone who ones great food at affordable prices while being treated as family. I had this desire to eat a very specific flavor combination and could not put my finger on what I wanted. The Cha-Chun noodles dish was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It had that savory, charcoally taste which just gives you that hug you need on a cold winter's night. The tea is perfectly brewed for you. I would definitely visit again when I am back here in Ann Arbor.
This place is my second favourite Chinese restaurant in town. Some of their foods are very authentic, some of others are little Americanized or too saucy, but overall it is a good place to enjoy Chinese cuisine. Try some from the last page of the menu.
Yummy Chinese food in the centre of Ann Arbor- Went for a Mongolian beef and steamed rice meal, and just really liked the food. Portion sizes are great, price is very reasonable considering the location and the restaruant ambiance was just cozy. There's lots of other things to try on the menu, so I'll definitely be back to give them a try.
First time back to an old favorite after many years and pleased to find TK Wu as good as I remembered. Stopped in for a late lunch and ordered Ma Po Tofu. It was excellently prepared and the flavoring was very fresh, with the flower peppercorn prominent, nice and spicy and aromatic. Will start returning more often. Vegetarian options: Many good meatless options. Kid-friendliness: Small place, not really recommended for young children though I'm sure they'd serve them, other diners wouldn't appreciate it unless the kids were extraordinary well behaved.
I love coming here for the food and atmosphere. The staff are great and the food is worth the taste.
The service was very good but I can't say that the food was excellent. It felt greasy and not refined. If you're looking for a very well-priced Chinese restaurant, though, it's a good option as it's clean and has typical Chinese food.Food: 3/5
