watered down apple juice no follow-up with our waitress to see if we were doing alright, bland bland & bland! the burger was soooo greasy my wife didn't even eat it, with the sampler 2 entries and a kids meal it was 70 bucks not including tip over priced for our service and the quality of the food, the only reason I gave this 1 stars was because the beer was cold and the mac and cheese for my baby lookes yum, also I couldn't go lower
There isn't much to say about this place. If anything i had more fun with the staff than my actual food. Going to a sports bar i have a certain level of expectations for wings and they did not impress. I ordered the garlic Parm wings and there was not a hint or garlic nor Parm, they were extremely dry and i very much didn't even finish them. On the other hand the drink menu was very nice and seasonal!
Went there on Saturday and my receipt says the cashier was Liz, I’m assuming that’s the same as our server we had the young thin girl with the brown pony tail but she was absolutely fantastic. I’m not even a martini drinker but she made the martinis just perfect and I had two. She has a great personality, she was so friendly and happy and easy going. I’m so indecisive so she gave me her recommendations and even had me try the sauce before I placed the order. She convinced me to get the New England Chicken sandwich and that is now my favorite sandwich. She personally made our experience as great as it was. This is going to be my new spot and I am telling everyone I know about it. Definitely two thumbs way, way up and I hope that waitress gets a raise!
We went there for New Year's Eve after being at a Wolfpack game. The waitress was phenomenal and very attentive to us. They did mess up my order and I made them aware of it and the owner personally brought it out and he handed the corrected one. This is the second time we've been there and we will continue to go there.Food: 4/5
Atmosphere was okay, service was okay, food was okay. Really nothing to notable. We got the sample platter for our appetizer and the wings were fatty, pickle chips a little burnt, and reuben rolls over fried. Bbq burger was a little dry but the Mac and cheese side was delicious. Also tried the Tucson chicken panini which had good flavor.
Thank you to the staff at TJ’s for allowing our book club to meet there. The staff is attentive, friendly and get everything right. The food is delicious, love the marinated steak tips and the soups!
Good atmosphere and food. Prices a bit high for what you get but bear in mind I'm still adjusting to this wild inflation. Will definitely go back again
Food was great, everything tasted very fresh! The staff was attentive and pleasant, offered suggestions, smiling faces, I was greeted/ acknowledged immediately. I felt welcomed and my business felt appreciated. I will certainly return.
I have found my new "Cheers". Hey men if you're looking for that deep fried crunch from a wing that you have had from sliders which is no more because sliders has fallen off the deep end due to baking chicken wings! who does that,,,hmmm,sliders than TJ's is your answer for great chrispy wings . The best wings in Connecticut and the busiest place in Newington. Love love love, order for the game men. Beer is Beer. Ipa's are better and TJ'S has the wings!
Had a little retirement lunch for a coworker today...what a great place! It was not too busy, but it is a Tuesday. Staff was great, drinks were fantastic snd everyone's food was perfect! I had the spinach pizza...YUM!!!
