We booked a reservation on a busy Saturday night and it was wonderful! Beef kabob appetizer with rice pilaf and yumyum sauce was gone in seconds! The brisket grilled cheese with raspberry jalapeno BBQ sauce was also lip smacking good! The chicken and cheese tortellini was rich and the veggies were tender! The petite steak medallions are my favorite, always super satisfying! Every single dessert we had was perfectly balanced and beautifully plated!
Been here a handful of times now and the food & service is awesome! Pictures added show the coconut shrimp, Tipsy Bear burger which is huge!, prime rib sandwich, steak & shrimp tower and the twin filets. Some portions are smaller than others but overall very tasty & good quality. Just as a heads up they have a credit card fee so bring cash to avoid the fee!
Very pleased. Food was delicious. The tipsy bear burger is huge and has fantastic flavor. The Blackened Ribeye w/bacon, lettuce, tomato on a parmesan & Herb crusted sourdough bread and a cup of asparagus soup was perfect. Totally loved the french fries. My hat is off to the chef. Definitely will return to try other meals. Our server, Mary, was great and very attentive.
My friend and I randomly came across this place for lunch and we were very happy with our choices. We both got an apple cider mixed drink that was delicious with a caramel cinnamon rim, and a smoked ham and cheese croissant. The herb mayo they used on the sandwich was the perfect tangyness for it. The interior of the bistro is pretty cool, an eclectic selection of wine covers the walls and the ambience is cozy. Definitely recommend to anyone traveling through West Branch that wants something different from the usual options.
Our group of six adults were looking for an established unique restaurant to have lunch. We are so glad that we found this terrific place. Nice menu options. Delicious food. Good house red wine -- Goru Spain. I would enjoy returning to the Tipsy Bear Bistro for lunch or dinner. Our server, Lacey, was wonderful, too.
We popped in our our way to Mackinac Island. Yummy food! I had the salmon and shrimp special. Cocktails on point!
My appetizer soup that was more like a chili unfortunately was just average. I had the Korean kabob on a bed of rice that was very good and priced accordingly. Food came out quickly with great service. Large wine selection with craft beer available. Quaint, up north atmosphere with plastic table coverings and paper napkins. Indoor/outdoor seating with full bar. Unsure if they had Wi-fi. Street and side building parking. Bring cash if you don’t want to pay a 4% credit card fee. Sorta takes away from the style of the establishment and might be better just to be worked in the cost of the entree. I would return.
This is our favorite place to eat anytime we're in West Branch. The food is always wonderful! Fred is a very talented chefWe do wish the decor could get a face lift- especially the cleaning closet as soon as you walk in the door. That would make a great room to sell their wines!Food: 5/5
We had business in town and had no clue where to eat. The Tipsy Bear exceeded our expectations by a long shot! Wish I hadn't been dieting, but then I probably wouldn't have had the steak salad, which was excellent, with house made green goddess dressing. Hubby opted for the French dip sandwich, which was not on French bread, but on very good toasted bread. The fries are coated and waaaay good! Had no drinks, but tea, and it came in a nice big mug. Constant Comment, which I love! We want to come back. Great food and service!
Nice little Bistro. I've enjoyed every dish I've ordered here. The Salmon is wonderful! Staff is attentive and make you feel comfortable. Great selection of wine. This has become a weekly stop for us.
