I had a wonderful experience at this coffee shop! The lady who owns it knew it was my first time as she did not recognize me. That showed me how much she cares about her guests. She was extremely friendly as was the other lady who was working with her. She offered myself and my friend a piece of carrot cake to try that they make in house. It was absolutely delicious! I decided to have a muffin as well, and it was so good I ordered a few more baked goods to go. The flat white I had was exactly what I was looking for. She does some fun art on top but it's definitely what's inside that counts, and it was fantastic. I will definitely return when I'm in the area!
I am going to rave again about this place. I started coming almost 8 months ago. Its consistent, lovely owners and staff, amazing food, local baked goods and art. There is not a nook in there that isn't remarkable. They have amazing coffee and freshly made sandwiches daily. Super amazing environment, inclusive for all! Its a cozy space for a quick coffee visit or lunch with friends. Highly recommend Vegetarian options: Many options available Kid-friendliness: Kids tables toys and books Parking: Street and lot Wheelchair accessibility: The area is flat and accessible Smaller space but large tables available Dietary restrictions: Vegan vegetarian gf
Not just any Cafe Tin Town Cafe is part coffee shop, part gallery, part "let's do some Christmas shopping." When you enter the store your sense are greeted with a mass of pleasure. Art adorn the walls, ceramics decorate the shelves, and the fragrance of fresh ground coffee paired with gourmet pastries and petite nourriture is truly delicious. So stop in there's something special for everyone.
A hidden gem. The lattes are fantastic! The staff are so kind, taking time to connect with their customers whether you’re new or returning. They have curated such a beautiful atmosphere to represent local artists.
Staff were super welcoming and friendly, interior was the definition of “Pinterest aesthetic”, super cute and cozy. Food was mediocre, personally didn’t like the sandwich much but the baked goods and soup were decent, would recommend, 7/10
Warm and inviting atmosphere and very high quality food and coffee. The staff/owners were very welcoming and clearly take pride and joy in the service they provide. I came here on a visit to the area and would definitely come again.
Just wanted to give folks a heads-up that this is NOT the place to come and work. I realize it’s a small space, so I normally wouldn’t come here with my computer but a friend wanted to meet for coffee and I figured I would do a little work after. I was there for a total of 2.5 hours, 1 of which was having a coffee with a friend. I was seated at a small 2 person table. During the other 1.5 hours I ordered lunch, and then got another coffee and a sweet treat. This is partly because I was hungry, and partly because I’m conscious of taking up valuable table space in a small cafe. I had just started drinking my second coffee when I was asked to leave because table space was limited, and told that I had been ‘sitting there for hours’. They subsequently apologized and gave me a cookie on the house, but it was pretty uncomfortable being asked to leave in front of a bunch of people right after having ordered food and a coffee. While I totally get that space is limited, I was honestly pretty hurt because I was doing my best to be conscious of that, and also because there was a group that had been sitting at the table across from me since before I had arrived, taking up one of the largest tables without ordering anything during my time there. Seemed like an odd double standard. My recommendation would be that they should better communicate to folks that working on computers is not welcome in the space to avoid interactions like this in the future. All that being said, this is a great little cafe with good coffee and food. They cultivate a lovely space for community to gather and artists to display their work, and the owners clearly really care deeply about the community. Great place to grab a coffee or food with friends, but computer users proceed with caution!
Beautiful art, great music, incredible attention to detail. And the best f*ng coconut matcha latte I’ve had in a really long time. The love shows. Treat yourself next time you are around. This place alone is worth the visit to comox area. A
What a gem. Stopped in, from out of town, on a local friend's recommendation and their store's proprietor immediately picked up our Mandarin conversation. She is Taiwanese us as well and has created a diverse collection of exceptional coffee wares surrounded by art from the local artists. Anyone wanting a lively oasis for a good coffee and bites, will not be disappointed. But especially rewarding for any level of coffee aficionados seeking local arts and possibly gifts. Very warm proprietors, care for the local people.
Quality coffee beans from Red Tree specialty coffee. The owners are super friendly. The cafe itself is also an art gallery showcasing local artists. I love supporting local businesses.Food: 5/5
