Tigo Trattoria

I ordered grilled calamari and seafood pasta and they were really good. The food came out pretty quickly and the price was reasonable. Staffs are nice and friendly. I am happy that I found this place. Desserts were good too but it was a bit pricey.

Great night with friends in this intimate setting. Food and wine were delicious and everything was reasonably priced. Staff stayed late for us to hang out with out of town friends.

The menu is quite curated and small compared to other Italian restaurants in the city, but that doesn't impact my decision to dine here at all because whatever they do have on the menu is absolutely fantastic! They have a wonderful selection of daily specials as well. Fresh ingredients, authentic Italian style and taste and amazing, friendly service. I cannot recommend Tigo enough! Over the last few months, it's become our new go-to Italian restaurant in Vaughan. The one thing I would caution you on is the size of the restaurant - it's very small with limited number of tables and seats, so making a reservation is a must!

Felt like going somewhere new and reserved here. Quite small inside but nicely done. Very friendly and efficient service. Now for the food: This is a find. The food is very tasty and obviously fresh. I'm going to hate myself for this review when I can't get a reso next time.

This place is such a gem, tucked away in a little plaza. A friend and I made a reservation for a Friday evening but it wasn’t necessary as it was not busy at all. It’s a smaller space with. Honestly if you enjoy being around your nonno or zio, this would be the spot for you. The servers was so cute and welcoming in that sense where they always want to make sure you’re good and anything you need is “no problem, I do it for you”. They were very attentive and accommodating. I was able to get a modification to my order which was some anti-pasto and my friend got the seafood pasta which was all really good. Definitely along the lines of authentic Italian food even down to the hot chili oil and bread. I think the menu online looks a little different from the menu in the restaurant. The food came out really fast, and tasted fresh to me. I would definitely say that the portions size were excellent and we didn’t need to take anything home. We were able to order dessert which I felt should have been more servings for the price they were charging for just ice cream or gelato. I would definitely go back here for the great experience, food and atmosphere. A great spot to take family for dinner or even have a little celebration.

We had a Groupon, so it was cheaper, but it would have been just bellow the $60 mark per person, drinks and dessert included. Both the appetizer and the main dish were sizable and delicious, but the true hit was the Tiramisu at the end! We both agreed we didn't remember having a better one ever, including the ones we had in Italy! There are many reasons why we're coming back soon, but Tiramisu is at the top of the list!

Went here as we purchased a Groupon, and the place itself is tight, very limited seating. The servers were older Italian gentleman who were nice. The Groupon gives two appetizers, bruschetta, two entrees, and a shared dessert. For apps we had mussels with white wine sauce and the beef carpaccio which both which in my opinion were great, and I enjoyed the bruschetta as well. For entrees I had the lamb, sausage, and chicken plate with Tigo sauce which seemed to be olive oil. The lamb was one tiny piece but cooked well, no flavor though. The chicken had no flavor at all, the sausage had the most flavor. My boyfriend had the shrimp, salmon, and calamari, all which were okay but again no taste really. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was great and had a cappuccino which coated an additional $4.25 but was not worth the price paid. Overall, I would go back but try something else for the entrees as I'm hopeful the food would be better.

My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner and we enjoyed it. We were able to find a Groupon for this restaurant so we saved a bunch of money. I would recommend using their Groupon if you want to try their food out. The food was very good. The menu was a pre-fixed menu due to the voucher but we enjoyed what we had. We both had pasta as well as calamari. I remember the calamari was VERY good - we always like calamari as restaurants and this place's was amazing. And the dessert was amazing as well - which was their cheesecake. The service was amazing as well. Overall I would recommend this place for a nice little Italian dinner.

Came here for an anniversary! Service was really great and welcoming, and food was very good. Portion sizes seem to be lacking a little compared to other restaurants I've been to, but the service you get makes up for it. You can tell all their staff are experienced. Bruschetta was very good, beef carppaccio was delicious, and the fried calamari is different than what we expected. It's not really breaded like other calamaris you've probably had. Entrees were okay, I had the seafood mix and it was pretty good, but the mixed grill seemed a little on the fatty side and smaller in size on the plate. The tiramisu for dessert was spectacular - never had a better tiramisu! We had a Groupon and we accidentally tipped on the machine in % so it didn't calculate right, so we we left cash on the table. Prices are fairly expensive here, but it was very well worth the Groupon!
