Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant around. I've ordered from them several times. Food is always so fresh and light. The usual red sauce you get for chicken balls at other restaurants is completely different here. It's actually not such a thick, red syrup but almost more of a light, thin honey. It's by far the best. I just wish they were closer as I live in Waterloo, but definitely worth the drive. Try it for yourself; you won't be disappointed. Guaranteed.
My husband and I drive from Cambridge weekly to visit This restaurant. We have never been disappointed in the food, quality of same portions of same. The staff are very professional and cooperative. Just wish they were open for dine in. We are missing the experience of dining there so much, however we cannot take out as we have nowhere to sit and eat.
Not too impressed with the quality of the food. Did not taste very fresh. The general Tao chicken tasted like beef gravy over breaded chicken... No peppers and no spice. Very bland. Had 2 teenagers working and tried to phone to ask about the general Tao chicken specifically and the phone would pick up and then hung up right away. I tried calling 30 mins before closing, so I am not happy and will likely order from Wok and Roll in the future. The wonton soup was yummy.
Best Chinese food in the KW area! The food is delicious and homemade. I haven't tried anything on the menu that I didn't like but the wonton soup and sweet and sour chicken balls are my favourites. I would recommend going for a sit down meal rather then getting takeout so you get the food when it's hot and fresh. The prices are more expensive then a typical Chinese restaurant but it is worth it for the outstanding quality.
This is a place that my dad and I have come to since I was very young. Always delicious food. A little more expensive but it is all made in house and with solid recipes. Their chicken balls aren't loaded with batter and their sweet and sour sauce isn't the fake red sauce you get everywhere else. The service is decent but most people get take out for Chinese anyway. Overall, I've always loved going here over anywhere else
I’ve dined at this establishment many times and they don’t disappoint. The food has always been fantastic. This is one of the best Chinese food eateries I’ve ever visited. Dollar for dollar it’s good value also. We always order extra just for the leftovers. I recommend the turn lee.
Today was my first time trying this restaurant and I can guarantee I will never return. I paid over $50 for just two containers of food. One of the containers was a dinner combo for two, which I expected to be at least 2 containers on its own. Not only were the portions teeny tiny, but the quality was awful. Would not recommend to anyone.
Very relaxed Sunday late-afternoon service by 3 late-adolescent male servers even before the dinner hour arrived. The combination meal we ordered included selections that were doughier deep-fried than we prefer, although the egg rolls were pleasant. Lots of sweet sauce. Ample portion sizes. Nothing to be excited about one way or the other.
Not impressed. The food was not bad but the amount for a Dinner for 4 was very surprising for a Chinese food restaurant. The food we received barely fed 3 people never mind 4. And the $66.00 bill made me think that the servings would be a bit more substantial. I don't think I've ever had such small portions when I've ordered Chinese food.
Consistent quality and taste. Our family always enjoys getting takeout from Tien Lee. Tried the Sesame Chicken for the first time - very good. Sticky, sweet and savoury.
