We are staying in Calgary for 2 weeks and wanted to try different restaurants. We read all the good reviews and decided to try. We were to late to dine in so ordered 2 of the favorites recommended to take out. Amazing! We will definitely be going back for a full sit down dinner to try more.
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly when we ordered our food. He went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. And the food was spectacular. First time trying momos and the veggie ones were delicious. The curry was creamy and hearty and the paneer had an awesome sauce. Highly recommend!
This place had amazing and authentic food. We tried the Gyakog hot pot and it was definitely worth the money. Lots of different meats, vegetables and a broth that reminds me of home cooking. Their steamed buns were also great and a nostalgic taste! Thank you for the amazing food and experience!
This is a delicious hidden gem in Calgary. My husband and I came in for our Anniversary lunch and purchased the mixed Momo's & the Chilli Paneer. Both items were amazing and reminded us of back home; the taste was authentic. The service was really good too as if we were family. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is craving something different, spicy and delicious.
Great date night place. Veggie momos we yummy but a little disappointing because we were told they were the best seller so we were expecting more flavor. Beef momos had very little filling. The chicken ones were absolutely delicious with the chili sauce. The salad they gave in the middle was yummy. The chili fries were so delicious I would go back just to have that dish as a snack. The chili shrimp was great, very fresh and the rice went really well with the dish. Everything needed the chili sauce because I like a little spice. But overall really yummy and would definitely recommend for anyone
The deep fried momos were nice and the shaptak was our favourite. The biggest disappointment came from the Seafood in the Fire Pot. There was no scallop, no crab as described on the menu.... just seafood balls that everyone can buy frozen from TNT or any Asian supermarket, and 2 small shrimps. A 5$ dish priced at 30$. I rarely complain but that dish was really a failure in terms of quality / price.
We came as a group and got the momo platter, laping, shaptak, sha-bhaley, chicken momo fried, and thenthuk. The laping was a neat pasta noodle wrapped in chicken and crunchy noodles with a nice spicy kick. The fried chicken momos have a nice crispy skin on the outside and a tender meat filling. The momos overall could have a less thick bun for the small amount of meat filling. For drinks, I had the mango lassi and got to try the butter tea. The lassi was well done but not different than what you would get at another restaurant. The butter tea is like a milk tea with a block of salted butter. It's interesting to try for the flavor but not our cup of tea! Staff were friendly and service was reliable. Will be interested to try some of their other dishes at some point!
Loved the service as the staff was very friendly and called ahead to make sure the order details were accurate. However the meal itself was okay. You get small portions for the price you pay, both the momo size and the overall quantity. The momos lacked in taste as the filling was not that flavourful and you had to rely on the sauce or curry put on top of it for flavour. However even the sauce was not that tasty, and there seemed to no difference between the two momo flavours we ordered. Still think it’s a good spot, however definitely pricey and could improve on the flavour profile.
Loved the different food choices. Lots of Veggie options. We tried Momos, crispy fries and Thupka. Crispy fries were delicious and I just loved them with their hot sauce! They were very accommodating.Food: 5/5
Me and my family dined in here tonight and our experience was excellent. I really loved the beef momos, it really reminded me of back home. We ordered plenty of dishes and it came out in no less that 20 mins. All the dishes were marvellous and the service was excellent. Would definitely come back to the restaurant!!
