Decided to try this place out on a whim while walking through. It was great! The service was prompt and the food tasted great. Highly suggest the pork bao and the pa-dak flavored chicken. Also had the flamebird, that bowl is good if you are searching for something spicy.
I ordered takeout here and while the service was great, super quick and ready when I went to pick up, I was a little disappointed with the chicken itself. The flavors were amazing, the outside, extra crispy and crunchy and the sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. However, I was expecting moist juicy chicken considering it's dark meat, access unfortunate the chicken was dry. This was the case for both the drumsticks and thighs. It could have been an off day and I'm willing to try it again but I was hoping for something better. *Edited from a few months ago*
I was skeptical at first, but the yang-nyeom was certainly spectacular. It was sweet and spicy although, very palatable if you enjoy spicy cuisine. Thank you for making Valentine's Day with my partner memorable :
Oooooh mama they make a tasty piece of chicken. Perfect crunch and super juicy inside, without being greasy. Fresh veg and a fantastic bun. Great service. Would reccomend 100%. Worth the drive from metchosin !
Thunderbird is hands down the most incredible Korean fried chicken in town. Incredibly crunchy, very moist chicken and each sauce is more flavourful than the last. Very reasonable prices and very nice folks.
I ordered 3 pork bao buns, a fire bite and some popcorn chicken and it was amazing. the popcorn chicken was crispy and flavorful, the rice was adequately spiced with rich sauce and topping and the bao buns were delicious although small. overall great experience but i would say the bao buns are overpriced for the small sizes
Try Korean chicken in Victoria. Recommend: Interior looks like back to the 80's 90s ?but feel not too much old. It's good to get balanced. I feel not too old, but I feel like 80's 90s. Try~Food: 5/5

I recently tried thunderbird for the first time. 4 piece chicken and rice on the side. Service, speed of prep and flavour is a 5 out of 5. I settled on a 4 though as the chicken appeared to be burnt on the outside. That being said, the meat was moist and the chicken in general tasty. Also for the price, I thought it was very little rice. On the flip side, a lot of boneless chicken pieces, a nice surprise! And I got 5 instead of 4
