Have been wanting to try this place out for awhile now and I was really impressed! Probably the best croissant that I’ve had in the area. It was soft, tasty, and crisp. My only desire would’ve been to have ordered more! The coffee was also good cold brew. The place itself is a little pricey but that’s what JP has turned into lately. The location and quality of the food definitely justified it though.
I cannot recommend this bakery enough. I have gotten different items coconut cold brew, iced latte, tea, all the pastries each time I have come in, and every single time I cannot even begin to describe what I am eating, because its literally out of this world. The coconut cold brew today? There is literally no way for me to have known it would be like this. I was expecting something lightly coconut flavor and BAM the best coffee I have had in a long time. Creamy, sweet, and delicious. Do not even get me started on the croissants. It is like you went into my brain, picked out my favorite foods, and put them into different amazingly flaky croissant flavors! Anyways, I have lived around the corner from this place for almost a year and just recently discovered it. Talk about a hidden gem.
So impressed! All of the croissants were well layered, buttery, and flaky. I would never have thought kimchi in a croissant would work, but it did so well. The egg bites were delicious too. Only critique is I wish they had more standard pastries like plain croissants or popovers. 100% will come back!
They have the best croissant! They have a variety of innovative flavors! It may sound weird but the combo of kimchi and croissant are perfect! It event has seaweed as topping! If you like sweet croissant, then the guava one is for you! The sweet and sour taste mix well with the savory and buttery taste of the croissant! You can't imagine how flaky the croissants are! I liked the crispy texture and how buttery they are! I will come back again for sure!
Yes, the kimchi croissant is fantastic! But to me, the standout is the “plain” buttermilk croissant. It somehow walks the line of being melt in your mouth tender, incredibly flaky, and also moist. The flavor of it is perfect—the slightest tang with a hint of sweetness—but has that je ne sais pas quintessential croissant flavor despite the non traditional form of it. Everything here is delicious and worth standing in line for but make sure you don’t leave without a buttermilk croissant!
I had no idea that a croissant was worth standing on line for. I really enjoy my kimchi cheddar croissants. The decor, particularly the plants are beautiful. I haven't been disappointed yet as I try something different each time.
I don’t know why this place doesn’t appear if you Google search “coffee” or “cafe” in JP, but it’s phenomenal! The coconut iced coffee is my favorite and their croissants are to die for. They come in flavors like ham-fig-brie, guava cream cheese, and kimchi. Everything you need to know can be smelled by walking by. Also FYI, it’s unfortunately not a place to sit and do work like Cafe Nero, but the staff is always friendly!
Great baked goods - sweet and savory for breakfast. The loaves of bread are fantastic to take home for toast and sandwiches. Kimchi croissants are amazing.
Put a plate or a bag under your face when you bite into the croissant, because flakes will be flying everywhere. The chocolate in the pain au chocolat is melty and gooey and warm. But my favorite pastry is the orange-cardamom breakfast bun. Like a Kouign Amann. I can hardly believe it's VEGAN!
Great baked goods, just make sure you arrive 5 minutes before open if you want to beat the line, and even then you may still not be the first there. There's a reason a line forms though, and that's cause this small shop is exquisite.
