Thierry is a modern and luxurious chocolate and dessert spot. I really liked the environment—stylish, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The desserts and pastries are on the pricey side, but they’re definitely tasty. One thing I appreciated the most was the free sparkling water—it’s a nice touch! I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere and am looking forward to coming back to try their brunch next time.
Thierry Ambleside is quite the spot. The location alone is fantastic, right by Ambleside beach, which makes it ideal for grabbing a coffee or lunch after a walk or just enjoying a relaxed afternoon near the water. The first impression you get walking in is of a spacious and stylish cafe. It has high ceilings, comfortable-looking furniture, and a really appealing interior design. And the pastry display? It's genuinely tempting.nnWe've stopped by for coffee a few times before, but today, after our morning walk, those beautiful pastries were calling our names. We decided to try their almond croissants. They looked perfect – flaky and golden brown. Unfortunately, while the croissant itself was delicious and had a lovely flaky texture, the almond filling wasn't quite what we expected. It had a somewhat doughy consistency and was very sweet, almost like marzipan. Both my friend, who orders almond croissants quite often, and I found it didn't quite hit the mark. We actually ended up removing most of the filling and just enjoying the excellent pastry.nI'm not sure if the filling was just a bit off today or if that's their standard recipe, but I probably wouldn't order the almond croissant again. However, they have a really enticing selection of other pastries, so I'm definitely planning on going back to try some of those. It's worth noting that it's a self-service place. The service was quick, but it would have been nice if it had been a little friendlier. The coffee was good, and sitting outside on their patio was very pleasant and relaxing. So, overall, it is a lovely cafe with a great atmosphere, and I'm looking forward to exploring their other offerings.
Amazing place with breathtaking views and interior decor.nStaff were extremely friendly and even a male counter person, I forgot to ask his name, unfortunately, gave free cake to my son, which is much appreciated.nOutside patio has heater which makes it very comfortable to seat and enjoy fresh air.nPastry was absolutely delicious and fresh and so the drinks.

There’s plenty of parking available, and both outdoor and indoor seating options create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.nnWe tried the Danish, Choax, and Eclair — all were flavorful, fresh, and truly delicious. The coffees were good as well; I would say the espresso and macchiato could be slightly enhanced for a more refined flavor, but overall, everything was very enjoyable.nnI would love to see the service elevated to match the café’s beautiful setting and more boutique feel, especially since it’s not a typical franchise-style place. It has the potential to offer an even more exceptional experience.nnOverall, a wonderful spot for a coffee break or sweet treat, and I would definitely return!
