Back in Vancouver, and of course the gloomy weather calls for brunch. I’d been here before for coffee and a donut, but I got curious to try their brunch as well. This place is especially known for their mochi donuts, which have a really interesting texture, very chewy with a bit of crispiness on the outside. I’m generally not a huge donut fan, and this version is still a little greasy, but the texture is definitely unique and worth trying at least once.nnWe were surprisingly the first customers of the day, which was great since the line is usually pretty long it’s a pretty hyped-up spot.nnAvocado Benedict $22 3/5nI ordered this for a lighter take on bennies, but in my opinion they added way too much hollandaise. Combined with the avocado, everything ended up tasting overly rich. The eggs were perfectly poached though, and the tater tots were also nicely crunchy.nnMortadella Sandwich $15 4/5nMy friend, who loves this place for brunch, said this is her favourite menu item and I can see why. I feel like it’s underrated since most people go for the bennies or the chicken pancakes, but I’d highly recommend this instead.nnThe texture combination is great: thinly sliced mortadella, an egg layer that almost feels like a crepe, and crispy onions. The tobasco sauce also helps balance everything out and makes the dish feel lighter.
My friend and I came here on a Sunday morning a little before 9am because we've never been successful getting in during regular brunch hours. If you can believe it or not, there was still a line! But it was really short so we got in as soon as they opened their doors.nnWe ordered a black sesame mochi donut, the shakshuka, and the avocado benny. We both thought the donut was way too sweet especially the icing and I could barely taste the black sesame. The avocado benny was recommended by the staff and I really liked the flavours. There was a unique citrus taste to it which I enjoyed, but the hollandaise sauce was a bit salty. The tater tots were pretty average in my opinion and the portion was kind of small for the price. My friend enjoyed the shakshuka and thought it was pretty good!nnOverall, I was kind of disappointed because we had been trying to come here for months now, so maybe our expectations were too high. I thought the food was pretty average for the price point, but I'll probably return to try out their cereal milk mochi donut!
We went today at 11am and waited about 30mins before being seated. Due to the weekend crowds, I heard that later arrivals had an average wait time of an hour. Then it took about 20 to 30mins for all the food to be served, but it was worth the wait.nnTheir beef brisket hash and the benedict are delicious, but the best is the cereal milk mochi donut, definitely a must-try! Their hojicha latte is also nice!!!nnThe last, during our meal, we had an unpleasant experience. The server who handled the situation was very professional, and we were very satisfied with the speed and result of the handling. We will definitely come again!
Have gone here for takeout and brunch dine-in.nThe mochi donuts brown butter and strawberry yakult were really good 5 stars. Perfect chew but note they do sell out quick on the weekends so go early morning!nThe brunch experience was average. It took approx 1 hour to get a table on a Sat you put your phone number down. The fried chicken and pancakes were ok but small portion for the price. The dine-in space is pretty small and can get pretty loud but the servers were friendly.
We went to Their There for brunch on a weekday, so the place was calm and not too crowded. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which created a comfortable start to the meal. The food itself was tasty and well prepared, although the prices were a little on the higher side for what we ordered. The only part that disappointed me was the coffee. It did not taste fresh and it had a slightly burnt flavor. Overall the experience was nice and the food was enjoyable.
